That actually was an interesting tour because Warped had a poll for each date that allowed one band to get an extra 15 minutes added to their set. Thrice took all the Cali dates.

I mentioned it in the Coachella thread but Jesse Michaels of Operation Ivy said that they've gotten some offers to do shows. Have to imagine that for all the memes, Riot Fest has got to be among them. on the other hand, it's gonna be Paramore.

What's the public transit situation around Douglas Park? If I'd prefer to avoid driving to the park every day, is it better to get a place nearby and walk it, or can I rely on public transit before and after the festival hours each day?
Any general Riot Fest logistics tips are appreciated, 2022 will be my first time (although I've been to Chicago a few times over the years).

Public transit to and from is possible but any sort of travel after the fest (uber/public transit) is a bloodbath after the fest. If you stay downtown you can take the pink line to the fest for $2.50 each day. Its the way home which is worrisome, Ubers can range from $40-100. Trains can range from 30-90 minutes in wait time as well unless you are really aggressive trying to board the train after the fest.
My recommendation is stay downtown and take the train to the fest, gauge uber prices towards the end of the headlining set, sometimes if you book them with like ~15 minutes left in the headlining set you can get ubers for cheap and it usually takes them 15-20 minutes to get to you anyways.
If you leave a little early (before the headliner is done playing), getting on the Pink Line isn't an issue. There's also several bus options available depending on where you're staying.

Do you think if Avril Lavigne played she'd be a headliner? She's basically a legacy act now (gasp Complicated is 20 years old now!), and her new album is a pop punk comeback record that's got 2 big singles now.
I could see that top line being My Chemical Romance - The Misfits - Avril Lavigne.
Maybe theyll decide to make you think that theyre being progressive by having a female headline again. At best you should expect Avril to be a sub to an Op Ivy reunion if thats what they got on tap.
But Paramore would have to headline this time no matter what. And why would Riot want to share 2 headliners anyway.
Right, I don’t know if Paramore will headline or not or what, just that she’s billed under one confirmed and one speculated headliner. I was just thinking there’s potential for undercard crossover.
