+ upgraded a bunch of venues if it wasn't possible to get a second date. Im actually baffled how well her tour sold, I mean I know her previous two albums aged like wine and a lot of people got to know them afterwards but still. New single sounds incredible tho, cannot wait for the new album.
Dates have been posted elsewhere but Dave is doing Chicago in May so more than likely out for this.
Yeah, thats a bummer, they havent had a uk rapper since Dizzee Rascal and that was in another decade. I guess after selling out his uk arena tour its soo small of a fest.
CHAI seems to be in play with the early feb show in Chicago.
It certainly explains why Phoebe or St Vincent couldnt do it next year. Twod would have to headline and that would just not be exciting. Just wait for the euro festivals that happen on the same weekend to get some other outs. Melt and Latitude for example. I mean Phoebe was gonna red eye back from Latitude last year just for Pitchfork, its not unheard of. They had Stereolab, Slowdive and Caribou do the same in the past.

Melt moved dates and is now happening second weekend of June instead of July. Probably because of Primavera.

They did? Damn. Well that is nice cause theyve had a lot of acts in the past that could be at Pitchfork.
So please tell me that because Bon Iver has no Chicago dates in their tour that they have a shot at playing this. I just always assumed they were out because isn’t Eaux Claire around the same weekend?

Maybe, but he could also probably be a North Stage headliner at Lollapalooza, too. (I don’t think Eaux Claires is happening anymore so that shouldn’t be a factor.)

It had been a week before normally. Really a coin flip cause Lolla can just turn on the money faucet if they want to.

eh supposedly they were doing Eaux Claires for 2020 before Covid hit, so it very well could be back

Huh, I didn’t know that. Did you hear if it was going to be more like the surprise jam sets thing they did back in 2018?
So now we're at the Mitski, Bon Iver and something else part of speculation/expectation when its going to end up being none of that and wonder where they went wrong lol.
Don’t know if Bon Iver will be there one or the other. Mitski definitely will be though. I feel like historically there’s been at least one obvious headliner/big name act each year (RTJ in 2020, the festival waiting to announce the lineup until the day after Robyn’s Aragon show etc. etc.)

Kinda depends on if P4K returns to its normal dates, but yeah. This tour screams Lolla North Stage to me

The park will end up in the same condition it was in last month and that was not pleasant despite the weather. Ill take green grass again and less dust. So I think they go back to July. They werent in a tough spot like other fests with short time in between. They only lost 2 months but if they had a good chunk held over for 2022 then filling in what is left shouldnt be as difficult.

Yeah but theres only a few in that category currently. Mitski has no date so thats not it. Deafheaven is in Chicago mid march and they were on 2020 but we arent counting on them to headline. RTJ has the gap and the rage shows are sold out so that has no effect on an announcement. Bon Iver skips so nothing to hold back on that. Same for The National or YYY’s who have nothing scheduled but were slated to headline. Whatever the big obvious name is, that could just be a summer tour which you wouldnt see announced til the new year.
Lock it in. Darkside could be fun aswell, if they start getting announced for festivals tho first.
We’re gonna get set up for a big let down! Edit: Car Seat Headrest in the maybe category with the April chicago date? Would be 4 years since they played.

Assuming the June Chicago date means Kraftwerk is out for this if they're going back to July dates. They would've been a great left-field headliner booking and the window is probably closing on getting them booked
