Pavement out with a Chicago date in September
Spiritualized playing west coast dates in April. Not inconceivable they add on another leg to the tour to hit up the rest of the country and perhaps a festival or two... dare to dream

They did something similar with Big Ears a couple years back!
I think Serpentwithfeet might have potential with the Feb Chicago date. Still in that zone of being able to have a show around normal announcement time.
I think you’re underestimating mitski. She has more monthly listeners than Phoebe and St Vincent even though st Vincent just released an album and Phoebe has gotten a huge push recently. Mitski even had a few big Tiktok songs.
Didn't think much of the APE lineup as it relates to fests over in the US but I guess it is interesting to note that The National will be active again next summer:
Well Goldenvoice books APE so it can have some play for over here. The National have June dates in Europe around Primavera so theyll be around. We're prob gonna hit that quiet part of announcements til the new year now though. Maybe theyll do some early bird sale again and we at least get the festival dates.

Wet Leg is a possibility. Beginning of March is on the edge and they dont have any tour dates past the first week of July so they can def come back. Hype train will be in full effect by then.
Guess its one step closer to all 3 being new. So maybe just The National have the highest chance? Its a week after Pitchfork so its not insane to be flying that direction anyway. We’ve seen some artists do that sort of thing of heading west on a tour then jetting to Australia.
Well if there is no Rage tour then they got nothing else to do when it comes to RTJ. Except for the part that P4K might have somebody booked already. Who am I kidding, theyre throwing darts at the wall the week before their line up comes out!

Herbie Hancock feels exactly in line with some of the throwback headliners they've booked recently, and would make me feel much better about missing Roo

Herbie Hancock would be a cool booking, but I don't think he's big enough to headline.

He played Northerly Island with Kamasi Washington last time he was in town, I think he could!
