last-minute twist, they're actually playing the taste /s
Hmm, I find myself in Chicago that whole time. My nephew's wedding is on the Saturday (can't believe they booked their wedding that weekend especially since they were Lolla regulars til 2019, lol), so that day would be out but I wonder if there's any chance they'll book a day that olds would want to go to and that I might actually want to get a one day for?

If by "old" you mean "26, Dua Lipa's age" then yes.
Then I guess I am not going, since Dua Lipa is a baby, comparatively, lol.
I'm sure there'll be at least one, uh, non-current headliner. I honestly have no idea who that could possibly be this year (honestly, given their tour announcement earlier today now that Riot Fest is out of the picture, it feasibly could be Nine Inch Nails, of all bands??) but how "old" they are will depend on your definition - after all, this year it was Journey, and in 2019 it was The Strokes.

Would definitely hit it for NIN, would too for the Strokes if I hadn't already seen them in the past year. Pearl Jam, LCD Soundsystem and that ilk would work too but I draw the line at Journey, lol.

Porter's out since he's playing North Coast and Chainsmokers and Marshmello headlined recently. Definitely looking like Martin Garrix or Alesso are the most likely options to headline the north.

I keep telling myself its not going to happen and that it cant. everything is just lining up perfectly for it and to me its unfortunate that a rock slot is being taken up by them instead of like PJ, Jack White, AM, etc.
I will say this though, they might be unpopular on the boards and with a lot of people who attend a lot of fests but I think they are going to be a popular booking that will attract a lot of their demo these days probably. Their solo shows sell really well.
I don't think that KQX gets fed scoops from Livenation.
I get the logic, but they are other major markets they're not hitting in the spring and playing euro Lollas doesn't mean much. In Europe the Imagine Dragons are a forbidden foreign delicacy. They're like what KFC is in Southeast Asia.

They probably do unfortunately. They knew that Twenty One Pilots was playing Saturday before anyone else. But I agree with the 2nd point. They show up all over the international festivals but never the U.S. festivals.

After the Journey booking nothing can truly ever be ruled out, but going the adult contemporary route wasn't one I had on my bingo card.
Unless they're reuniting with Kendrick this would be truly baffling.

That radio station may have their own fest that Imagine Dragons would headline as opposed to Lolla.

Unless piqniq changed dates (possible) then ID would be overseas during the typical mid June dates unfortunately.
Took at glance at some of the shows hitting UIC and noticed that Jack White still has tons of good seats still available and Glass Animals is sold out with resale tickets more than double any Jack White ticket.
I had no idea Jack's popularity cratered that hard. Life comes at you fast.

He has historically never sold well at arenas. He should have done a couple nights at the Chicago Theater but hindsight is 20/20 I guess.
