The overwhelming trend for the last year for pretty much every festival (with almost no exceptions) has been a significant dump of tickets in the last few weeks to tank secondary markets and provide easily available tix at or below face at the last minute.
Given that and the lack of high-demand draws on these lineups, it seems really easy to wait and see without worrying about getting shafted with a higher price later. Just zero incentive to buy early until that dynamic changes.

Sure. But tiered pricing will come into the picture and make the market vary quite a bit. I would also assume that when wristbands get shipped the market changes as is par for the course.
Given folks on this board are finding it so tough to justify the prices for TANP and Prima LA and we're the target demo, I may sit out on-sales for both and hope neither sells out and take some time to decide what I want to go to.
Just noticed Just Like Heaven isn't sold out yet and they still list pricing as "Saturday" on their site, which kind of implies to me they were going to announce Friday after a near-immediate sell-out like they did last year but it didn't sell out :/

They had Sunday held just in case. Similar to Cruel World the week before. I mean the tiered pricing did its job to sell plenty of tickets and then people will slowly buy em closer to the fest date. I mean this might even damper their sales since you now have 4 festivals outside of Coachella that offer lots of acts and its a matter of how much you wanna spend to see the music.
Seeing that a good majority of this is electronic/dj, I was hoping to get some recommendations. I enjoy a lot of it but its a genre I get super lost in. I know KLO and Arooj Aftab but it’s the smaller names I need.

Off the top of my head the smaller names that I like and would see if I go would be: Avalon Emerson Mall Grab Gerd Janson Peach
Avalon Emerson would be a top 5 act on the lineup for me. Also I’m not sure how much is out there for a Romy DJ set but I saw her at III Points and was surprised by how much fun it was.
Mike Watt on the lineup is the ode to the the song that this festival is named after - This Ain't No Picnic by the Minutemen - of which he was the bass player. While they weren't a hardcore band per se' and more were just on a bunch of those type lineups (until D. Boon died) because they were different. Watt is one of the best musicians to come out of the hardcore scene of the late 70's/early 80's - just a fucking dynamite bass player. It's also a spoof on the entire sabre-rattling, war-mongering era of Reganism who the Minutemen fucking hated.

I saw Mall Grab at III Points, a few years ago, and had a lot of fun at that set, too.
I gave a listen to Avalon Emerson DJ Kicks this morning and was pretty impressed. Penciling that in for sure.

Had zero clue Danilo Plessow was MCDE (also just had a stupid moment after checking the poster again). I’ll add the rest to my queue today.
I’m basically following Fred around. Now I won’t feel so idiotic trying to understand what he’s talking about. So thanks for that.

If we can sit back in the back and silently judge people, I’m in.
So basically every name I don't know is electronic
Most of what I’ve found is either electronic or hip hop. There are some names that are more guitar oriented, although different flavors.
Nothing might be up your alley, if you haven’t heard them. It’s supposedly metal but more of that shoegazy post-metal sort of thing. Every time I’ve seen them, they’ve ruled. Bring earplugs.
Indigo De Suza I’ve seen a bunch. Her new album is classic and I hope she has a huge crowd. She deserves it.
I really like the LALA LALA albums, too. I haven’t seen her but I have high hopes. Hopefully some of this helps.
E: Pretty sure the secondary market will be flooded with these tickets but my ocd is kicking in. I can’t fully start planning until I have secured those. Plus, I have the cash rn. I’d run the risk of spending it on stupid bicycle parts. Good luck to all you buying today.
don't think I'm going to buy today buuuut i do feel like my likelihood of ending up at this thing is greater than 50% at this point. fingers crossed it all works out.

100% waiting for last minute tickets to this, especially after being tricked into buying Cruel World passes during the onsale.
Yeah, they magically made you enter your card info and hit purchase with some goth magic.
It be like sometimes. I’m gonna go ahead and purchase right now just cause I need to know that I have them and the layaway option is feasible for me at the moment. Good luck yall
