I rented a place pretty close to the rose bowl, but I'm tempted to cancel and book something a bit further away to save a few bucks.
Are you planning on driving in and out? I wonder if taking the metro and staying closer to LA would be bad idea.
it's only a couple miles away, but my back injury makes walking pretty tough so I was planning on taking an uber. I definitely don't want to deal with surge pricing though so I guess it will depend on how much they charge for a weekend parking pass. other festivals at that location are $25 for single days, so if it's $50 or less it might be cheaper to pay that instead of Uber prices.
The hotels are still like a 30-40 min walk right? I wonder if they’ll have shuttles, they haven’t posted that info on the site
There should be shuttles. Theyve never not had them for a fest there. And the trick is to park for cheap in old town pasadena and walk to the shuttle stop. Cause parking at the shuttle stop is gonna be pricey.
For real though, I’ll report back after Cruel World once we find out how bad of a shit show it is getting in/out of the Rose Bowl.
Thats only gonna be bad for the people that leave when Morrissey ends. If you peace out early youre fine. Daydream was fine except that they didnt prepare concessions for a sold out show which is pretty much was. so there were long lines for food and such when there shouldnt have been. Shuttles didnt take too long to get out of there or to get in there so that should be alright. Since they have one sold out date they will prepare for both dates like theyll be at capacity. And then hopefully it carries over to Just Like Heaven. At least there will be 3 festivals there before TANP happens. Although Ill be worried about the grass for each fest thats second.

You also just have a crazy oversaturated market here. You have Just Like Heaven, Cruel World, Primavera LA, and Desert Daze all in the area appealing to similar demographics.
