Someone on Reddit mentioned Animal Collective as a possibility given their new tour dates...haven't looked into it but that would be cool.
I don't know, given they're from the east coast (and beyond) I don't see their West Coast tour ending in August making it likely for Desert Daze.
They have a one off in Seattle and thats it for August. The u.s. tour runs from march to the beginning of june. its a 4 1/2 month gap between their shows in so cal and when daze would happen.
Yeah, they (AC) are a definite possibility. They don't do much for me nowadays, but many peeps out there would enjoy having them return to Daze.
I also added Matt Pike/High on Fire to the List. Let's see how much we can continue to map out 'til Coachella hits and/or Phil starts dishing out clues.
Supre posted this in another thread. Could totally see us getting some of these acts. Taper's Choice sounds awesome.
Taper's Choice, a supergroup comprised of Real Estate’s Alex Bleeker, Vampire Weekend’s Chris Tomson, Darkside’s Dave Harrington, and Arc Iris’ Zach Tenorio Miller. As Stereogum points out, the band's Twitter description reads lays their Deadhead leanings straight on the line: "Basically an anthropomorphized 11/11/73 Dark Star."
Spiritualized just announced their fall tour earlier today, ending in NY on September 24th. Most dates are in the south and east coast...U guys think this makes it more likely that they end up at Daze?

Don't see why it would stop them.. I've got tickets for April 4th in Denver.

Also if anyone cares Stereolab is out
Stereloab has already been listed out for quite some time, since they are playing Primavera LA.
I was posting breathlessly about Porcupine Tree in the upcoming shows thread the other day and no one seemed to care. I don't think they excite today's King Gizz or Tame Impala fan.
Daze at times does bring in some surprises, so I believer there is a chance for Porcupine Tree. But I must admit I am not a dedicated fan of the band, so I have no idea what their history is of playing festivals.
Daze's social accounts have been extremely quiet since the posts about Pike, but hopefully things start picking up as we get toward the end of March and through Coachella.
