Still think Queens Of The Stone Age could be a possible headliner for this since they're active in the summer and Josh Homme has played the festival with Eagles Of Death Metal
Well they only have Mad Cool booked. They got dropped from a couple festivals, most likely due to the legal stuff Josh has going on. Guess its a matter of how much people care about that sort of thing here.
Ah, see I thought I had heard they left/or were cut out of some festivals that they had lined up. But when I checked online at various sites (songkick bandsintown), QOTSA was still listed. I think this significantly decreases the chance we see QOTSA at Daze this year...I'll leave 'em for now, but they're indeed a longshot.
My Morning Jacket's new tour dates don't rule them out but it makes them unlikely with their tour ending in Alabama on 9/24.
I think those tour dates in August in so cal all but rule them out. Also lets rule out some of the Hollywood Bowl season artists like Grace Jones, Durand Jones and The Indications, Flying Lotus and Haitus Kaiyote.

I'm going to leave Puscifer on the sidelines for now. There's no real indication one way or another, but MMJ is more than likely out, as well as the Hollywood Bowl bands/artists that Supre listed.
Yeah MMJ’s Hollywood Forever show rules them out I think. Still debating going to that…just $69+fees is steep. Wish I knew in advance if they’re gonna do something special for that performance.

Well, that is just wrong. It is because of poor management from the QOTSA-team planning around a tour for the band in Europe while Jon Theodore is also commited to tour with Bright Eyes - and apparently that didn't get talked through lol.

Sleep is playing TANP, and if Phil sticks with what he previously said, they're automatically out. High On Fire doesn't seem like they'd fit what Daze's style, but I'd take em.

After Coachella. Plenty of fests announce right afterwards cause of radius and such. If they waited for Picnic to happen they have a month to sell tickets. Think youre forgetting that Picnic is at the end of Aug and DD is at the end of Sept. if they had to wait til May then it could be due to Cruel World.

I could easily see some of Cruel World's acts playing Daze - like TR/ST, Soft Kill, Drab Majesty, etc.

Someone on Reddit mentioned Animal Collective as a possibility given their new tour dates...haven't looked into it but that would be cool.
They have the May california dates so they could just be put into a second phase announcement in the summer if theyre on it. Theyre very much not going to be a headliner either so itll be a solid name to bolster the undercard.
