His best album in a while imo, he could have a lot of fun guests depending on who is available.

Not necessarily.
Again, plenty of Daze artists (big & small) have played other local shows before and after the festival. It doesn't give him the biggest chance of playing again, but it's still fairly possible.

I agree. It seems like a silly booking tbh. I wasn't there last year and have never seen him so I'd be excited but since he was a headliner in 2021, it would be weird to have him back the next year.
Why do they need a repeat from last year. That would be boring.
They don't need to, but Daze has a history of having their favorites play consecutive years.
I personally don't care if he comes back or not, but it's fun to keep guessing how this lineup will shake out while we continue to have radio silence from Phil/Daze.
Phil is going to be like "what, we've been announcing the lineup... Haven't you been paying attention to our DD nights posts?"

I'm kinda wondering if they have the money to throw it this year. I feel like the presale didn't go as expected since it went on so long, maybe they're trying to raise cash on the DD nights shows?

But also, after (at least) Sunday of Desert Daze 2021, it felt like they had to be making way more money than expected.

I think that presale is a great way to lock people in knowing This Aint No Picnic and Primavera LA would be stiff competition.
