I recognize a few names here from the old Coachella forum, glad to have found where lots of this Desert Daze talk has moved to. Jumping into the guessing game, I'm gonna say next Monday or Tuesday. Reasoning, Folk Yeah!!! just announced SF and SC for Kikagaku, tickets on sale Friday. My guess is they're waiting for those two shows to go on sale then we'll get a DD announcement.
Also saw that OM and Zombi are touring, but no way they'll be at DD given their schedule. OM would have been great to see out there.
Does anyone else have a sinking feeling that Desert Daze is cancelled this year? Their instagram posts haven't referenced "Desert Daze 2022" since December and they haven't really been promoting the festival itself (aside from an email in April saying GA tix go on sale "soon"). I really hope I'm wrong!!! I know they are notorious for posting the lineup super late but I feel like this is later than usual? Like I said I really hope I'm wrong and would love to be eating my words at Lake Perris!!

no way it's cancelled. Daze is terrible at communications and lineup rollouts. They'll get to it when they get to it lol (Tuesday at 2)

I've been told we won't get the lineup announcement until this thread hits 40 pages. Apparently most festival orgnaizers use this board and its various threads to plan announcements, lineups, etc.

Most years peeps start worrying, and then it turns out to be for nothing. The only exception was last year, when they did an abrupt shift from Pappy's to Lake Perris. However that was in part due to the legal ownership/control drama of Pappy's, which I hope gets settled sooner than later. But yeah, the Daze hype-machine should come back to life shortly with things back on track.
So long story short, it's happening, and have heard this from multiple peeps in the know. There's nothing to indicate that it won't go down this fall as intended.

Just confirmed with GSM's bassist, Larry, that he has no knowledge of them playing this year. Sounds like Kimo or Ralph aren't playing guitar for the band anymore, so they're down a guitarist. I'm assuming it's Kimo since Ralph and Larry have been playing music together for decades in Victims Family.

Really really hope Cassandra Jenkins is playing this. She’s in LA supporting Kevin Morby that Saturday and has Friday/Sunday open. Kevin Morby is doing Ohana on Sunday, but she’s not. Would be perfect.
