Has the fest announced on their pages or website what time the fest gates open each day? Or the swim hours? I can't seem to find the info anywhere, including the app.
So part of my crew is upgrading our early bird tix to VIP after all...Also our RV will have an Alice In Chains Dirt tapestry on it, so if any of y'all wanna stop by to say hi and have a brew go for it.
I'm doing this also. My friend dropped out leaving me with one couple that does their own thing so my old ass is going to pamper myself

So Thursday should be the only REAL hot day. Looks to be highs of 96-97 Thursday, 91 on Friday, and 87-88 on Saturday and Sunday.
Should be perfect for hanging at the beach or in the shade during the day, and it won't get too cold at night. But I'm still taking my hoodie or light jacket to be safe, especially since we're camping.

The weather looks perfect! I'll be bringing a couple of sweaters, a light jacket and a beanie for night time attire. I always over prepare when it comes to clothing in the desert and since I have my car there's plenty of room.

Do we know if we're we able to swim on Thursday? Would be nice to take a dunk in the afternoon after setting up our tents.

Negative, no swim hours on Thursday (per Daze's website).
However, I heard u can go to other parts of the lake outside the festival grounds? So technically, yes you should be able to enjoy the water on Thursday.
Kinda surprised they haven't released much of the poster art for this year. I did cop one of the Iggy posters to complement the one from '17 and to have a poster for a show he didn't perform. Usually by this time they've released a bunch of poster designs. Fingers crossed for a Kikagaku poster since I passed on getting one from The Warfield last night.
thursday gonna be brutal without swimming. the whole lake will be closed to the public except for a day-use area on the complete opposite side, so i'm not sure how easy it will be to take a dip without rangers catching you.
we're planning on arriving a little later to avoid peak thursday heat. hopefully we still get a decent spot!

Ok so I kind of spaced on getting a camping pass until now. I'm flying in Thursday and will be ubering/finding a ride to the venue that day. I see that the tickets are a pdf. Is it the same with the camping? Or am I going to have to go to the box office first. Side not, if anyone is getting into Ontario at 7:30 on thursday and wants to split an Uber, lemme know.
poor acid dad playing campgrounds at 12:40am vs king gizz, mild high club, snapped ankles, and nosaj thing -- how many people are going to show up for them? lol
just move them out of the campgrounds and let them open block stage at 2:30

That, or have them start like 30-45 minutes later.
Cuz yeah, I'm sure as hell not gonna see them as it stands right now!

Camping passes are PDF too (along with Car Parking Passes, RV Passes, etc.), and should be sent to you through your See Tickets Account once purchased.

yea all my tickets (GA, Camping and Car Camping) are pdfs.
My girlfriend read a recent review about the lake saying there were leeches in there. I sent an email to the State Park inquiring about that. I kinda feel like that review might be bullshit and don't recall leeches last time I was there. I'll update if I get a response from the rangers.
oh... gross. well i've been in the lake for every daze plus one SSBD and never experienced leeches. but i do see some reviews about this online. maybe i'll buy some swim shoes now.

Didn't see any leaches the last 3 times. Just the food vendors
Well Elkka doesn't look like she'll be making it due to visa delays.
So perhaps they will shuffle things around, and Acid Dad will play in the main fest grounds?
Bummed about Elkka but hoping the ensuing shuffle somehow frees up the mildlife/viagra boys conflict that has been keeping me up at night...one can hope!
