Brockhampton disbanding has been one of the most disappointing parts of my year. I felt they were really starting to figure out how to operate without Ameer on Roadrunner. Oh well, at least I'll always have the Roo 2019 late-night set to remember, that was great and the crowd was way wilder than this one.
was in the pit for that and enjoyed the hell out of it
only bad part was some mfs kept trying to pickpocket me and take my backpack lmao
but BH was meant to disband sooner rather than later since its inception (at least that's what they've always said), still hurts that it's happening though
Yeah, I'm really glad I skipped Phish to get in the pit for that, easily a top 10 show I've been to.
I saw BH a couple years ago and the crowd was young, rowdy, and a blast. If you're about crowd energy and shit just dive up in that shit and rock out. If you're more the type to stand in the back to watch shows, I can see why you'd have a different impression. It's about the e x p e r i e n c e .
Sometimes when the lights go low at this Brockhampton set I think they've deflated that giant gorilla and then they come back on and nope, it's still there! And then I laugh a little bit every time I see it.

yeah i believe i went from pit for Gambino to walking around a bit, seeing some Beach House, getting lucky and finding high school friends in the BH pit line and hopping in with them, then went and fell asleep in the field while Superjam finished

Would like to see BH but I just know more Steve Lacy songs I might have to skip the BH farewell show for a artist whose music I actually know and listen to casually

i saw them in Austin in November 2019 with 100 Gecs and Slowthai opening. didn't know anything about Gecs at the time so i was shocked and in awe at the way that people were literally moshing for them
Slowthai was great as expected and then BH rocked my socks off again

BH feels kinda underwhelming considering the "last show ever" expectations but it seems like a lot of fun, feel partially obligated to check it out next weekend anyways

from the way they've been talking on socials, i wouldn't be surprised if its a completely different setlist next week which sounds like a big draw for me if i were going tbh

Am I wrong ?
You should see whichever show you're going to look back on more later...
With that being said, if it's between a farewell show and an artist who is pretty easy to see again, I'd probably go with the former if you have any interest in them at all. If you dont like BH and are going just to go, then do Steve Lacy

no. and also you're not wrong to say if she can't dance, then she can't ooh! either.

oh that's kind of a shame because they're playing all my favorite songs of theirs tonight. :\

yeah i mean i might be wrong but it kinda seemed they were trying to get all of the favorites across the 2 sets. obviously would be most beneficial if you could catch both in the case of that but who knows
this setlist has been immaculate though, i do agree
Gonna get some Danny (damn I still hate autotune) and maybe catch some of flume if not skim that on the replay. Megan, Freddie and Isaiah. Good 21 Savage and/or Brian sets would be a bonus.

I must be in the minority because I don't think live instruments at an electronic show are good and usually take away from my enjoyment of them. Give me a live set without live instruments any day.

people like to assume shows with live instruments are better than shows without them, which i'd say is true maybe half the time

I think it depends. I think it really works for the Avalanches since they get to be a little more loose with their samples, but I don't think it works as well for Disclosure, who are just doing pretty straightforward transitions between full versions of their songs.
