I've seen "Freddie Gibbs x Madlib" twice and nothing really changes. He just DJs the songs while Freddie gets wasted but still raps every word

And what I really want is Gorgon City to hear those sweet Olympia jams live on the fields - they did just burn the outdoor to the ground in 2019 and I doubt they have another album out before 2023 given when Olympia was released, so I know they are probably not high on the priority list but they can play every year as far as I'm concerned. Unlike the general public who seems to cool on them post Sirens, they get better for me with each release.
I have a feeling either Fred Again gets asked back to close the outdoor, *or* Purple Disco Machine gets a Sahara redemption slot after the Yuma line fuck up. Definitely not both but one of those feels like they could pull the Disclosure 2013 --> 2014 "wow they just exploded" trajectory.

Yeah 2024 is more likely to be honest but I wouldn't put 2023 out of the question. But he is playing the outdoor very, very soon.
Do you guys think any 2022 acts will do a back-to-back and play 2023 as well? I could see Purple Disco Machine coming back 3rd line and playing the Sahara at night. Just considering how he overflowed the Yuma and how massive the crowd was outside of the Yuma hoping they could get in.
The only reason they had it as SHM x The Weeknd is because they knew SHM were way too weak of a headliner
Despite that it was received in a fairly positive light, so it worked. They obviously worked out a few kinks for W2. I thought SHM couldve done with better visuals instead of their black/white bullshit.

Freddie and Madlib has been a thing for a long while. Moreso you get 2 acts that have worked together and can manage to make a cohesive performance out of it. NIN/Halsey def has that ability to pull it off if it was an option. They could be on before Rage since RTJ aint getting that chance now. Not too many acts you can put on before RATM and keep a crowd pleased anyway.
