blink 182 might be a little out of SK’s price range I feel. That’s one of those tours that hits the majors and does arenas and then smaller fests the year after.
Green Day plays stadiums and is a bigger name in all honesty

difference here is timing. Green Day was coming off a really big tour that hit Atlanta less than a year before so there wasn’t as much demand to see them as usual.
you can always tell how old someone is by asking how big they think Depeche Mode is
Im not one of those damn burnouts that thinks it all went downhill after 101 and only relives those days. Fuck those people, theyre the ones crying about not getting tickets or having spent too much on being in the first row. All I said was theyre too expensive. They sold out the u.s shows and their stadium europe ones, but hey, theyre gonna play the little fest that could in Atlanta cause somebody liked a post. The funny thing will be they will not play just the hits. Half the set will be the new record, so temper those expectations if indeed theyre on the lineup. The setlist hardly changes once the tour starts.

Yeah while they are likely pretty big in Europe I never heard of them until I started posting here and I’m not sure I know anyone from my generation that’s aware of them and I’m sure that’s even more true for Gen Z.

I'm definitely not in the know about festival booking timelines. But maybe this tour came together too late to be an option for SK 2023? If those leaked dates are correct, they are 100% out since they're playing shows in the midwest during SK.
Slight pivot from lineup guesses here. We did VIP in April and liked it so will definitely do that again at min. I know a few others here have also done VIP. Have any of you done Platinum? Just curious what the consensus is on that vs VIP offering.
Wonder if Tim would book Billy Strings for Shaky. Outside of playing a short set at the Outlaw fest in Atlanta, pretty sure the last time he played an official show in ATL was December 2021.
Tim booked him for Innings Fest a few years back. Avett Brothers have headlined before so I don't feel like it would be too much of a stretch.
would be amazing but he's more likely for 420 Fest. and he just announced 2023 dates. 3/10 in Atlanta

I got into Platinum on Saturday evening after complaining to the concierge about the lack of free food in VIP, which was promised on the website when I purchased. Platinum was really posh, and I'm thinking about dropping the money for it next year. The included food was amazing, and there is so much room in the Platinum viewing area during the day. Even rolling in after getting food and drinks, just as NIN came on, I was in an incredible spot. The price is steep though, so I'm on the fence. I might wait to buy this year and see if I can scoop up a good deal secondhand, and go with VIP if not.

That's right. I remember thinking we bought when it still showed food for VIP as well but couldn't find proof anywhere. Good to hear on Platinum. It seems like what you're saying basically mirrors what I read on the FB group so think we'll give it a shot next year and then decide between Plat/VIP going forward after that.
Did you have a chance to watch anyone from the side of stage? I saw a video of Mt. Joy and that looked like a pretty cool perk to take advantage of for some part of a set (where available).
