It's raining, so no bike ride. Going to hit the gym, then do some stuff about the house, and read. Dinner is steaks (rare), baked potatoes with all the fixings , sautéed squash from the garden, ripe tomatoes also from the garden, and some red wine.

It's raining here also. My lawn desperately needs mowed, but it appears it will be raining here through Wednesday, and I'm heading out of town Thursday. I hope I can still see my house by the time I return.

The boys have been at their Dad's for the last week, their first full week away. I've been busting my ass getting my son's room ready by putting down new baseboards/shoe molding, and patching/painting it all. A combination of my inexperience and perfectionism has made this a full week job BUT I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm pretty proud of myself as I hate home improvement chores and stoked for my son to see his room.
In a bit I'm leaving for a final few things at Lowe's and Target and then on to decorating. I think I'll stop by my favorite coffee shop and get a rosemary mint latte, too.

Rough Sunday for me - Disco barfed four times overnight, so I’ve been up since 5:30 and at the emergency vet for over four hours, now. Fortunately, they think it’s just a bout of gastroenteritis and are going to give her fluids and anti-nausea meds. Fingers crossed that’s all she needs.
Looking forward to having some fluids of my own, namely of the alcoholic variety, once this is all done and I’m back home.

One beignet? How does someone only eat one? That’s a new concept for me that I don’t want to explore.
I was full from the nachos and decided not to get beignets, but my friends got an order and had 1 left and insisted I eat it so I ate it even though I was full from the nachos.

Like, I thought you were saying "I disco barfed four times" and was very interested to find out what a disco barf was

Disco barfing is definitely when you are juiced to the gills on MDMA and dancing at 120 mph and suddenly and violently projectile vomit.
I skated in the Southern Decadence parade today. It was exhausting and it drizzled while somehow still 95 degrees. I forgot to clean my wheels, so hopefully it wasn't drizzly enough to fuck up my bearings. Guess I'll be checking when I skate tomorrow.

I have an exciting update for you guys. Looks like they’re no longer calling for rain on Wednesday, so I should be able to mow the lawn before I leave. Your thoughts and prayers (that I assume you were doing) really did the job. Thanks, everybody!

Update, checked bearings and they are all good. Had a great, fake Sunday, really labor day Monday, skate yesterday.
Sunday on Pensacola Beach with a buzz and a couple Andy gator tall boys. It’s sunny and 92 but the water is cold from recent thunderstorms so that is nice. Restaurant Iron for dinner and someone else is paying. Think I’m gonna get the scallops. Jumbo Atlantic scallops with sliced heirloom tomatoes shaved Vidalia onion, sweet corn purée and blood orange gastrique. Should be money.
