What does Duke Dumont Live mean exactly? Can't recall seeing him billed that way before. I vaguely recall he played around with the idea of a live band back in like 2017...
This is going to make for a very exhausting/incredible week for ya boi braundiggity...Avalanches Wednesday, Moderat thursday, Fred Again Friday, Portola Fest saturday/sunday. Woof.
Roxy Music w/ St. Vincent that Monday after too. Oof
Gorillaz - Wednesday Moderat - Thursday Fred Again - Friday Portola Fest - Sat/Sun Roxy Music - Monday

What a run this week is going to be.
I think I’m going to sell my Avalanches and Fred tix given portola, but might be adding Roger Waters on Friday and Roxy Music is looking more likely. Truly an insane week no matter how you slice it.

Its nothing special. He did a "live" set when the Ibiza Classical show came to the Hollywood Bowl a few years ago. Just him on stage and some extra gear.

Also didnt realize Moderat was playing in Oakland on Thursday, brb switching my flight from Friday to Thursday. Even though I already have tickets to see them the following weekend in Detroit.
Kinda wish Moderat was the Saturday headliner of the festival. Couldnt care less about Flume.
So wait, Fred Again is playing a venue show on Friday in SF, then AGAIN on Saturday at the festival? Seems weird.
Avalanches are playing a venue show Wednesday in SF also, I was surprised to see them both on the Portola lineup. Fred at least is sold out, but Avalanches isn't.

Random question, but do all GV festivals wait until a couple days before to release their set times, or is that a Coachella-specific thing? Should we expect earlier set times for this?

pretty much all of them release the week of the festival but just like heaven released a month ahead of time for some reason.

They can be all over the place. For Cruel World we got set times the week of, but Just Like Heaven set times dropped a few weeks early.

Love Moderat but they are nowhere near big enough to headline a night of this festival.
Damn looks like Roger Waters is playing SF that Friday also.
Yeah, I might be selling my Fred ticket and getting Roger Waters instead (we're taking my mother in law to either that or Roxy Music for her bday) -- happy to keep you posted if I make the switch and you want me fred ticket(s)!

likely selling my Brooklyn Jamie xx / FT + FP ticket for this. Have a few friends that are very interested as well, but I’m in this odd situation where I’ve already committed to working Joshua Tree Music Fest again October 6-9. So now I’m considering just making a 2+ week trip out of this and renting a car to bool around Cali as I make my way south in between the 2 fests, as flying back and forth from philly to Cali with 8 days in between seems silly.
Between this JTMF I’m just getting back from, to Barcelona in 10 days, and then possibly this extended trip at the end of the summer, I’m definitely making up for lost time in 2020/2021.

Any idea on what capacity is for this? Debating if I should buy presale tomorrow or wait it out
Based on the reaction both online and in conversations with people (which, yes, is not the greatest indicator), I think it's easily going to sell out. Absolutely no idea about capacity, though.
