Any locals here rumblings about 2023? Don’t think I saw any emails after the fest but a thank you. I felt like some rumblings in the crowd on second day said some noise complaints from an adjacent local geopolitical jurisdiction but I don’t know if that is true??
If u see a man with a mullet, it’s probably me come say hi
Any chance you were a guy with a mullet and a tank top on? Upon my hazy reflection, this guy was at Pinkpantheress and it seemed like the dude was listening to I am a party while actually seeming like he(or however that particular individual identifies) was a cool to party with. If so, Cyber Cheers haha

On their website they have a Past Lineups tab which would be odd if they weren't going to do another one. Also, LF System's Monarch SF show next month is billed as "Portola X Goldenvoice Presents" which is probably a good sign of a return (plus maybe LF System which would be awesome).
This fest might actually be doable for me this year if it does happen. I have a friend who lives in Mountain View whose place I could potentially crash at, which I know is not *right there* but I figure is doable and I don't think I could justify multiple nights at a hotel right now on top of airfare.
I know I will pretty much like any lineup they realistically book but with Aphex and Justice active next year either of those would get my friend just as excited for it as me

I hate that this festival takes incredible acts away from III Points, but if Aphex and Royksopp are there (and no east coast dates) I might have to hit this up
So theres a requirement that it has to be the same weekend again.
I didn’t say that lol. You didn’t answer my question, but the only other gap that makes sense is 9/30-10/01.
Right and that seemed kind of obvious. But you wanted to discount that by making it seem the fest had to be 23/24 since you have access to the Gv festival calendar.

I said “if” in my response. Not sure if you have reading comprehension issues or it’s just your lack of online communication abilities at this point.

I mean you didnt stop for 2 seconds to think that the gap without an sf date for Little Simz wouldnt be something to consider at all. Just kore of a chance to say Im a dumbass since its the only thing in your mind.
So you gonna get back to the important thing here which is the festival or what. Theres a Portola billboard out at Coachella which may or may not have dates on it so I guess that will settle things when somebody gets a photo or confirms what is on it.
Would love it if Portola evolves by adding some indie rock, hip hop, etc. Starting to look more like a FYF poster.
If This Ain't No Picnic doesn't happen this year, acts that would've fit there could be redirected here.
Nah, please keep it in the same vein. There’s enough multi genre festivals out there, it’s nice to have something like this. It’s nice to flirt with some acts like Toro and Jungle but no need to go further then that.

Sure, I'm being selfish and catering to my tastes, but which multi-genre festivals are currently in the area?
OSL has been lacking for a while. In California, there's TANP and Primavera LA, which have shown no signs of returning yet. Desert Daze comes the closest.
