I'm staying at a hotel just north of SFO. Whats the best way to get to Fox Theater in Oakland? Just bite the bullet and Uber the whole way? Or are there reasonable mass transit options?

There's a Bart station super close to the Fox at 19th St. Not sure where your hotel is, but if you can get to Bart near your hotel you can take it to the Fox. Also feel free to message me if you need rec's for restaurants/bars near the theatre!

I just went to see how sales were going and it looks like they added some extra tiers, there's now a tier 4 and 5. Tier 5 is $400 before fees lol. Wild. I can't recall seeing a festival add more expensive tiers *after* they start selling tickets.

Coachella did it this year. They also added tiers for vip. They must be selling well enough to try and squeeze some extra bucks out of people.

They started at $300? Funny how $299 is a magical number but $400 is the devil. Still fucked up
dont think ive ever paid $400+ for any of the festivals ive gone too. pretty sure iii points is like half that, and hell even 4 day camping fests are cheaper than this

Coachella crossed $400 a while back so if youve never been recently, theres that. No sponsors and inflation is a bitch.
Selling my Primavera passes had me real sad this weekend, but knowing I'm going to this plus the Gorillaz Wednesday show + Moderat Thursday + Waters likely Friday means the world. Also there being a big street fest is also tremendous, very excited for this
I'm gonna book a solo Muir Woods + Napa/Sonoma Valley wine all day thing on the Thursday before, if there happens to be another solo goer feel free to join me on a little classy trip before the fest, lol

We did a Muir Woods + Napa/Sonoma Valley day tour as well for our OSL trip. Beautiful scenery and the wine was great. Would recommend this experience to anyone.

Mochakk is fun, he kinda blew up on Tiktok with his live clips. I think his vibes are kind of a weird fit for this festival but should be a fun set regardless.

I really hope the kids with 2 day passes stick around for Chemical Brothers. I don’t think I’ve met a person under 30 in this city who’s heard of them. Still think a primo Coachella outdoor slot would do wonders for their reach here, though.
