remi wolf is a good one but I don’t think so on the other two.
Yves tumor live Is a thing to behold... And I think big thief has the talent
this thread isn’t “talented musicians” though. They just don’t make music to can appeal to enough people to headline. They’re 5 albums in and aren’t even subs yet.

With another good album, I feel like Tyler Childers could be big enough but I’m not sure how many majors would book a country headliner. ACL and Roo I guess.
As of now, I can see Phoebe making the jump within 1-2 years. New album will likely drop by 2023. Charli in 3-4 years if her type of pop remains as popular as it is now. Music keeps evolving so fast on the radio, it’s hard to keep track what will be in by then.

i’m not sure if it hurts or helps but he’s already said that since he got sober he doesn’t want to tour and play as many shows as he used to. i bet he could sneak into ACL or Roo’s top 6 off of rarity but he might just stick the Americana fest circuit and do a couple Red Rocks shows and call it a year.
Surprised no one has said King Gizz. I could see them headlining Shaky in a few years. Hopefully Roo or Coachella in the future. Others I could definitely see are Glass Animals, Khruangbin and Goose probably sooner than later.

At Future Fest, I think some of the headliners would be: Future, Drake, Young Thug b2b Gunna (Live from Prison), Lil Baby, Kanye West (Jesus set), and Juice WRLD (Live from Heaven, hologram set)
turnstile next album will end up being a top 3 at multi genre fests depending on their size and headline maybe some 25k cap fests. i think their biggest thing will be how they go about solo gigs.

charli shouldve been there a long time ago when she had Fancy and I Dont Care get as big as they did. It just didnt happen. she might be stuck. Phoebe will just get it when the next album comes cause thats likely to do really strong on the charts due to sales and not like streams of a single.

Glass Animals- When we saw them at Buku I told a lot of friends they really brought a true “headliner” level show and with another successful album just seems on that path.
Lil Baby I can see at Hip Hop fest and maybe some smaller ones soon.
Turnstile for sure if they stay on the path their on.

Oliver Tree possibly.
nah, this is Oliver Tree's last tour. like for real this time, i promise. he won't be around to headline anymore.

This thread will end up being just as accurate as the last one was, which comes out to about 5%.
Like Turnstile. They're great and all but give me a fucking break, they're not headlining any major festivals unless they shift even further away from hardcore.

Exactly. It's not about how big the band is getting, but how big their sound is getting. Tame Impala got there because they were head and shoulders at the top of the genre they helped get into mainstream appeal. With how critically acclaimed pop music is nowadays (Billie Eillish, Harry Styles, Olivia Rodrigio), it's going to be someone in that genre or, of course, hip hop. King Gizz? Big Thief? Yves Tumor?? Not happening.
