Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I have said the Lumineers are millennial Grand Funk Railroad before in another thread, but whether they play or not isn't of that much consequence to me because I don't particularly care for any of the other headliners either (though Paramore would probably be the best option).
Boston's music taste makes me wish I lived in California. But this isn't the thread for that discussion honestly
haha i feel you on that. maybe in a decade or so i’ll make the move. for now, yearly coachella is a good enough compromise
Id be fairly happy with all of lines 3 and 4, which is a bummer
we usually have some overlap, i think it’ll be fairly significant
Do we though? Last year looks like pretty much just Metallica, and that would have been as a last minute replacement. Looking back at all the years to 2017, Im only seeing like a handful overlaps in the top half of the line up (2020 - RHCP/Jack Harlow, 2019 - Lord Huron/Gang of Youths, 2018 - The Killers, 2017 - Hiss Golden Messenger.
I could definitely see us sharing RHCP, but not sure about the names in the Sub-headliner level

Yeah, usually 2 - 3 that overlap (Metallica, Grandson, and DJO in 2022; Logic, Lord Huron, and Gang of Youths in 2019).
So, maybe Billy Strings does Friday at Bottlerock (he's in Vegas 2 days before the fest) and does Sunday at Boston Calling. Same with Lupe Fiasco, that way he's back in Boston for his MIT class on Tuesday ;-).
Could see Phantogram, The National, Jean Dawson and/or Sudan Archives (rain out forced her set to be canceled in 2022) on the BC lineup.

Would love Leon Bridges and Wu Tang.
funny little side tangent on Lupe, he’s renting an apartment from my friend’s parents for the year
sure there is usually a small amount of overlap, but i think in general being on the Bottlerock lineup makes you less likely to be at BC, which is a bummer because i think the middle of this lineup rules.
please give us any combination of Leon Bridges, Wu Tang, The National, Nile Rodgers, Carly Rae Jepsen, Phantogram
So chili peppers in a semi tough spot. They have a show in Houston May 25. They really dont do back to backs in diff cities. If they didnt have that date then you have them on either friday or sunday cause planes.
So Kendrick now looking like Bonnaroo and Governors Ball, maybe time to start hoping that Live Nation also hooked up BC
I'm leaning towards Kendrick - The Strokes - Paramore now
Strange that the BC social media woke up, posted a couple of things, posted on the 5th and deleted the post (something about cotton/cloud candy skies with a #goldenhour hashtag - which may have caused the deletion for fear of people thinking it's a hint (or it was)) and then they've gone radio silent again.

I personally would like the headliners to not be the same at the 3 festivals I might go to
I was planning on doing BC and Roo but will probably skip BC if 2 out of the 3 headliners are shared. Do you think these festivals assume people will just pick 1 so they don't care much about similar lineups?
Id imagine the "multi-fest" crowd is fairly insignificant consideration for promoters, Im sure each fest wants acts that can kinda set themselves apart but once you start taking into account locations it starts to weed itself out. Governors Ball is probably the only fest I've thought was borderline competition with Boston Calling and I think the two have gone in slightly different directions with their bookings the past few years
But I understand the want to not have the same shows at your concert season for the year
Foo Fighters - Kendrick Lamar - The Strokes Paramore - *EDM act* - Yeah Yeah Yeahs Billy Strings - Noah Kahan - King Gizzard The National or The Walkmen - Pixies - Brutus
Brutus probably higher than they will actaully be.
