Turnstile just got announced for Rock am Ring in Germany the same weekend as BCN PS. Not that I’d ever expect a ton of crossover from Rock am Ring but perhaps a make up for cancellation this year?
It’s smack dab in the middle of that Blink tour, too. Those poor guys are gonna break up out of exhaustion soon.
Already happening. Just postponed 3 shows this week. But theyre out there getting their bag cause they can. And they did some pretty crazy travel stuff this year already. Its during their 2 week break in the tour. Theyll be alright.
Got my alarm set for 1am to get those Pulp tickets. Hope it’s not gonna be impossible like the Glasto sale.
Got tickets for the first date back at Bridlington Spa and Finsbury Park. Struck out on Sheffield because Ticketmaster refused to sell a ticket to an account outside of UK/Ireland. I'll find one closer to the date.
Hive Mind: If your transit time was 45 minutes via Metro vs a 30 minute walk back to a hotel, which would you choose? Both hotels are equally the same in terms of nice but given 3 days of not seeing much of it, I’m thinking about splitting the Madrid stay and squirreling up closer to the stadium and airport.

Thats weird. Usually tm is ok with that. Like they wouldnt accept your payment? I had that happen with Abba and they wouldnt take my paypal payment until it finally went through. I mean they normally even offer international delivery as a thing too. ( i know its digital but you gotta pick it )

It never gave me the option for ‘other country’ when selecting payment type. Only UK/Ireland. I tried to force it by using a CC and PayPal account but since the postal code didn’t match a UK/Ireland one, it denied me both times. I even tried using a generic Ireland postal code but since that didn’t match my card records, got denied again.
Compared to Finsbury Park, I was given options for UK, Ireland and Other Country. The spa gig was much easier and didn’t ask for all that mess.

Yeah thats odd. Well youll be able to get a ticket in 6 months pretty easily. Something will come up on Twickets.

I also snagged two tickets for Pulp/Wet Leg in Finsbury Park, as I’m moving to London next month. Excited to see what other bands are added.
I'm sorta like Korr from the Rehearsal because I prefer no Pulp. Seeing Common People live would be fun but that's legit all I know.
lol I love the reference. As much of a Primavera-esque band as they are, I doubt they show up here with Jarvis saying they’re doing the UK/Ireland first, then everything else.

I'd go for the 30min walk if we're talking about Barcelona. If you're considering Madrid you cannot walk to the venue unless you stay in Arganda del Rey instead of Madrid, something I wouldn't do cause Madrid is great and I'd try to spend as much time there as possible although coming for a festival may not be the best plan to enjoy the city

Oh, absolutely. BCN, I’ve got myself covered. We’re close enough to shuttle/walk if need be.
Madrid is my concern. Originally staying in Centro for the week but decided that after a 30+ minute shuttle that we’d be happier being closer after getting back to the stadium. Funny enough, there’s nothing great near the stadium to sleep in, as well. I settled on a place that’s gonna be a 10 minute bus ride or a 30 minute walk back. I figure there will be taxis available too.
It’ll give us a few days at each and a little time to explore Madrid and be close for the Ciutat shows and close to the “fan zone” for entry and exit to the actual site.
Keep in mind that even the buses will departure from the stadium it seems that it won't work that way for the come back since they announced "Fanzone -> Arganda // Arganda -> Madrid". I reckon there will be less buses to each direction if they diverge the destination point but if they get buses inside the M30 it could sort you out. Anyway, best case scenario for me would be to stay around Chamberí/Centro/Atocha/Delicias (my fav areas) til Thursday and then move nearer the stadium but you'll be fine satying in Centro for the whole week. At least I hope so because I'll be going a couple of days and will be stayign around Centro too.

The wife and I bought tickets for Barcelona and are planning on doing a week and counting it as our honeymoon. It'll be my first time in Europe. Really looking forward to it.
