Surely we have to be getting the line up soon? I would think they want more time to get Madrid tickets moving.
From past experience with festivals, no amount of logical reasoning you can come up with for a lineup dropping earlier means it will actually happen. Most just announce at the sameish time routinely each year.
You can also pretty much lock in Arooj Aftab for this given her tour dates, think she might be a good shout for an Auditori show.
I saw her a few months ago on an outdoor stage and even she was taken a back. It was a solid set but she obviously didn’t wanna be playing at 3 pm in the heat. Gladly take a seated show for her.
By the way the economy is going, I’m assuming a majority of festivals get announced much more in advanced than usual.
The big boys will stick to their schedules cause they more or less have to. Everyone else will fight for dollars however they can. Maybe we'll just see more posters with blurred out names.
I thought I read that Deafheaven’s Full Album sets at Roadburn was an exclusive. Apparently, I was wrong. They just got announced for Arctangent and I’m guessing this will be a tour or a ton of “special shows”.
Now I have hopes for a late late night of Sunbather on the beach.
