my favorite part of any survivor is when esteban pops in to deploy his plethora of knowledge about any and every subject ever
this is partially sarcastic and partially genuine because i love hearing all kinds of interesting and off the wall shit in here everyday
lol. I learned a long time ago to listen and or ask questions if I didn’t know about something, because I didn’t want to ever be full of shit. I mean I’ll bullshit all day, but it won’t be actual bullshit hopefully.
Dubstep will be exterminated but is not close to the worst option here. I saw many a mind-warping dub set back in the early 20 teens. But I also get how people can be turned off to the mechanical nature of the sound coupled with the general dark and evil/horror themes. Maybe not original English dub, but what emerged by the mid teens from the U.S., NW Canada and some of Scandinavia is super aggressive, in your face, and annoying to lots of people (including some mfers who would scoff at Motörhead). Yet there are plenty of us who would or could go harder live at a factor of 10:1 at some extreme shit with mechanical cyborg insect armies with big teeth and drooling, menacing mouths marching toward us to eat us alive. It works for some people, but I don’t need to go all the way to bath salts to get some head banging or moshing in. I think I’ll tribute a couple of my favorite all time dubstep single releases in memorial after the poll closes.
About a month ago I went to this rhythm game tournament/exhibition event and they had a bunch of DJs throughout the day and they had this great block of DJs mostly playing higher-speed Japanese-style electronic music and then the final DJ of the night was a dubstep DJ and she wasn't a bad DJ or anything by any means but the vibe just sort of immediately died. it was very impressive in its own way honestly

look I'm honored and I know supre and a few others muscled on in my territory in Upcoming Shows but considering there's 2 survivors left I don't think I need a custom title that badly lol

The best genre is somewhere at the center of the Venn diagram of soul, funk and disco. Hoping all three of those live long and healthy lives in this Survivor and sending bad vibes to whoever voted for funk in the first round
and the song in the middle of that diagram?
i drive a kia soul there are many kia souls on the road these days they are almost exclusively driven by women every once in a while i get the chance to sing at a man who can't hear me
right about now kia soul brother check it out now kia soul brother
Y'all are sleeping on hyperpop for real though. I was not in on it for a long time and one day I stopped being a fucking loser and now I love hyperpop
Esteban thinks it’s for girls because it has the word pop in it
So here’s where I stand on what’s been mentioned about it in this thread. I don’t like 100 Gecs much. I tried. I’ve been saying it for 7 years that I fucking despise almost all autotune. I did like some of their visuals at Buku.
Charli is loved by a bunch of y’all and my daughter. Not hated but my critique would be that it mostly sounds like song oriented material. But she’s on the crooner side especially as compared to 100 Gecs which I do appreciate
I saw Sophie at Day for Night. It doesn’t rate in my top ever DJ shows, but I was glad to have had the opportunity to be at that party. Plus all the awesome production work for so many diverse artists. Also my daughter loves the fuck out of Sophie who alone with Dave Grohl can make her cry. She gets the nod. I’m still voting for hyperpop, but I got shit to like in almost all these genres. If it makes things better, I would have voted mumble rap first if it was a choice.
