They played the Quad like 5-6 years ago and that was a fun set
Wasn’t even that long ago. 2019, or two festivals ago. Love the act but really hoping for some new blood this year.
I really enjoyed that set and genuinely like Jupiter & Okwess, but I’m in favor of fresh blood too. I always support bringing an act back if they’ve grown in popularity, put out a critically or fanatically acclaimed album, or adapted their sound since their last appearance, but I feel like Jupiter & Okwess could play the exact same stage and time as they did last time. That said, they are booked for Coachella and Bonnaroo this year, and I know it’ll be an amazing set, so I’ll throw my support behind their return.

yeah im in the same boat, like i was planning on catching them at Coachella, but it's not as if it was a must see or anything.

J&O seems like they're getting 1230 at the Fort or 230 in the Quad. Not super worried about that
People we see a bunch of: Brandi, Rateliff, Dawes, Yola, etc... hoping they take a break.
Danielle Ponder - she was around last year, but didn't have her own set. I'm ok if she gets one this year, but if she waits a year or two that's fine.

Hopefully the Boston date right beforehand rules them out. Wouldn't be stunned to see Isbell show up for whatever jam session they throw on stage Sunday night though.

I’d like to hope so, however, Strings is playing 2 Boston shows right before the fest…
the annual Deer Tick weekend at Ocean Mist is in mid-June this year. Maybe they won't actually be around for Folk..?! (Though their current slate of dates does end in mid-July.) www.eventbrite.com/o/ocean-mist-18235429683
