Since we’ve gotten back here again. Are you mad at Dolly now for having Kid Rock on her new album?
i don't really care about Dolly Parton either way but yeah, absolute trash move especially for someone who has been such a traditional ally to the LGBTQ community
Upcoming Shows: August 7: Green Day/Smashing Pumpkins/Rancid/The Linda Lindas August 30: Waxahatchee/Snail Mail/Tim Heidecker September 17: Pearl Jam/Glen Hansard September 24: Idles/English Teacher
Making music with Kid Rock and turning down the medal of freedom from a Democratic president. #NotMyDolly
i don't really have a dog in the fight because i'm not really a fan, but she apparently has a sizeable gay fanbase who is pretty upset about this, and i don't blame them.
we're kinda once again getting into a strawman debate here over actions of varying degrees though, because while recording a song with a violently transphobic racist like Kid Rock sucks, i still don't think it rises to the level of actually abusing multiple women.

I’m not bummed about not knowing who most of the artists are, that’s part of the reason I love the fest, but is there no official Spotify playlist this year? Not knocking the fine people making their own but the fests Spotify profile doesn’t seem to have one.

tbf she turned it down from Trump twice so it's not just a Biden thing
I'm aware. I don't really care. I thought the sarcasm was obvious.
I think it's weird for her to make music with Kid Rock but I don't actively listen to Dolly Parton so it's not something I'll ever really think about again after I hit post.

OK, Lana Del Rey has the pre-closer slot similar to Brandy. She does her set and then says, be right back. Brings group of women from Newport (Brandi, Molly Tuttle, Maggie, etc.) out with her and they invite Joan out. Do some folk songs. Maybe Joni joins as well. Last three songs they bring Taylor out.
This is how they top 2022. Jack Antonoff helps pull the strings.
This is after a Saturday night of Isbell, Stills, Nash & Young.
This feels too farfetched, but at the same time, not totally crazy. The Taylor Swift part feels crazy. And maybe the Neil Young part. But everything else feels so obvious that there needs to be some element of surprise to follow Jay's typical rulebook.
Regardless, I am going to roll with this for my speculation, because that is what we do. We speculate wildly and even though we are often wrong, we are still rewarded.

Can’t see them booking Lana and then just letting her do 4 songs and hand it over to a jam. I think it’ll be more similar Rateliff’s sans covers. A full set of Lana with some pop-ins, then bring out Joanie for a few songs at the end.

Please just let the Lana set be a Lana set. She has plenty of songs she can bring out guests on (Batiste, Father John Misty, Antonoff). There's no reason for her to turn her set over to anyone else.
