that said, sometimes the media misuses the term "headlining" or "headliner" when reporting on festivals so who knows. we'll see when they drop the schedule next week, regardless.

He’s definitely headlining. He was announced with the rest of the headliners at the end of the lineup announcement cycle. Boston Globe now confirmed it with their use of the word. Jon even references his previous finale set.
That said, either he’s sly as can be, or it seems a bit disappointing from his interview. I was convinced he was more of a stand in, like Brandi was, for the “Friend” to take center stage. But he really plays that possibility down in the interview. He plans to play tracks off his new album… He admits to not having even curated the set yet… He claims there will probably be fewer guests than last time… And you’d think with a Boston Globe article, he’d at least hint at/hype something special if it was on par with Brandi & Joni - except he does claim “too top secret”

I hope they pass out pastries again at the Quad Stage. I know, I know… there are no bands with Breakfast in their name on this year’s lineup. But I can still hope.

And Ukranian flags at the Harbor.
On a different note, just took a risk in getting tickets at Billsville House Concerts in Vermont based on a Facebook post in the Newport group. The venue looks really cool and the unannounced artist seems to be tied to the Newport lineup in some way. Happened to be in the area for our family vacation. Love that the artist is unannounced as it brings that Newport lineup thrill back for another day. The other artists that have performed there are very much in line with our tastes and so I am willing to "Trust them on this one".
The fact that’s he’s playing both sets, for me, confirms that at least one of the sets is a false flag. Presumably folk fest. I don’t see In what world Jay thinks booking the same act to headline both fests and play similar sets at both is a good idea. Seems highly unlikely
Finally got off the waitlist for one 3-day ticket! The waitlist confirmation timestamp was 2 mins after onsale.
There must be separate waiting lists for each ticket type and quantity. I put in for 2 3-day passes with a waitlist timestamp of 1 minute after onsale and still nothing.
