So according to Reddit, you can't return your tickets if there are too many in the queue. Guess this was kind of the same as the last service, but you could at least return them and you only got paid once someone claimed them. So now its on you to check back and see every day if any tickets have cleared the queue that you're trying to return, seems less than ideal.

Hmmm. So there’s too many tickets in the resale queue meanwhile I’m in the waitlist with no tickets. It seems like there’s an inefficiency here.
The Beths is listed on the website for Friday, but it hasn't been tweeted yet. EDIT: It was posted on Instagram at 11:00, so maybe check there instead of Twitter for future announcements
took a look at Jay's "recent listening" on Spotify just because and looks like homie is still listening to Ryan Adams lmao
Is he supposed to stop listening to Ryan Adams?
Pretty sure he is on the record as being a Ryan Adams fan for a very long time.
yeah i was a ryan adams fan for a long time too, then Mandy Moore and Phoebe Bridgers let us all know that he was a huge scumbag and i stopped being a fan, because i have a conscience

Some people simply separate art from the artist.
and some people don't want to give money to abusers.
Upcoming Shows: August 7: Green Day/Smashing Pumpkins/Rancid/The Linda Lindas August 30: Waxahatchee/Snail Mail/Tim Heidecker September 17: Pearl Jam/Glen Hansard September 24: Idles/English Teacher

That’s fine, I just don’t use people’s recently played music as a means of passing judgement but you do you.
yeah im completely comfortable saying "you're morally suspect if you continue to support known abusers by and through paying money to listen to their music"
My recently played artists on Spotify have all been vetted rigorously. Not one of them have ever strayed from the path of righteousness.
i think it's cool that you nice acoustic guitar fans enjoy making jokes about abuse and domestic violence. Folk on, folk family! (peace sign)
My joke was at your expense not at the expense of domestic violence survivors. Do you really think you don't support any bad people?
Full disclosure, I think Ryan Adams is an abhorrent individual and I don't support him in any way. This is easy for me because I also don't like his music. For some people, such as Jay Sweet, his music is very important and still gives them a certain emotional breakthrough or cathartic energy that they seek so they continue to listen to his music. I don't see why they should be criticized for that.

Arcade Fire is my big loss. I loved them. Now I can't listen to their music. It no longer brings me joy. But if I'm in Kroger and they play it I'm not going to go running from the store with my hair on fire. I only do that when someone pulls out a gun because they got cut off in the U-scan line. I'm also not going to be judge and jury if others still listen to them. I explain why I don't, and let them make the choice.
And I'm sad I don't get to go to NFF this year, but at least I'm not taking up a ticket from you guys.

yeah, kinda seems like you're downplaying the seriousness of abuse/dv when you joke about "none of them have strayed from the path of righteousness", but whatever.
and actually, yeah - if there's an artist i like/enjoy/love and i find out they've done some reprehensible sh*t, I no longer support them. So if I support any "bad people" it's only because I'm unaware of their transgressions, or that I don't find what they've done particulary onerous.

And in this scenario you paint zero room for forgiveness and/or redemption.
That happened years ago - not dismissing it, but there needs to be distinction between past behaviors and current behaviors. He’s been working on his sobriety and making strides to improve and correct his defects (correct me if I’m wrong). Hell, Jay could be more aware of that than any of us on here.
If you’re going to call someone out and say fuck you you’re over, due to things they’ve done, and have zero consideration for any redemption or amends, then what incentive does such a person have to improve themself at that point?
These parasocial relationships and opinions people have are weird.

Just to play devil's advocate, what gives you the power to decide if their transgressions are onerous? Shouldn't that be up to the victims? You mention Phoebe Bridgers as a victim (which she absolutely is don't get me wrong), but she has also cheated on her former fiance. Maybe that isn't onerous enough for you but it was still a situation where she had a transgression which involved a victim.
I know from past interactions with you that you still take issue with Pinegrove due to Evan Stephens Hall's past transgressions. Transgressions he took time off from music to reflect on in the hopes of becoming a better person. He returned to touring and making music again only after receiving permission from his victim. Shouldn't we as a society be accepting of individuals who repent and work to better themselves? If we cancel every artist for their transgressions there won't be any artists left to support and if we start picking and choosing which artists we're going to cancel, doesn't that make us frauds?

It's weird that Jay still listens to Ryan Adams. For a person whose public persona is so based on equality and respecting women, just doesn't make sense to me. But he is pretty far down the list. Not sure how Spotify orders them, but I was probably the biggest Ryan Adams fan around and I haven't listened to him at all since the stories broke about him. As Sang said, it's really not that hard. My sister separates the artist from the art thing but I can't do that myself.

Lol. You’re gonna pull a muscle jerking yourself off that hard.
Ryan Adams has abused basically every intimate partner he’s ever had, plus several close friends and colleagues. He’s in a way different league than the Pinegrove guy

ah yes Spotify, famously known for compensating worthy amounts for streams

Not sure why that's being directed at me. I was pointing out Larry's moral judgement of others - Including his past judgement of Evan which I believe to be ludicrous.

You’re right, the part where you said “well Ryan Adams may have abused multiple women, but Phoebe Bridgers cheated on her fiancé so who are we to judge” was much worse

If that’s the level of critical thinking you’re applying to this conversation then I can’t buy for a second that you’re doing anything but a lame attempt at trolling.

What’s that supposed to mean? You literally compared Ryan Adams being a serial abuser to Phoebe Bridgers, one of his victims, cheating on her fiancé. You honestly think those are comparable? I don’t see how I’m the one with the problem here.
Anyway, I just came by looking for confirmation that The Beths were playing this thing.
