I never thought a Demi Lovato story could be my favorite story, but here we are.
Sometimes I struggled liking Demi, as a person... and I'm not sure why... but her music is usually pretty great, imo. At least the last two albums. I don't really know her older stuff.

They are messy, raw, and have had to continue to be present in the public eye since they were a teenager. I Stan them hardcore, even when they're messy.

I assume you mean that you're familiar with "Tell Me Your Love Me", which has "Sorry not Sorry" and "Daddy Issues" on it, cuz if you haven't you should.
I turned into a fan with her single "Cool for the Summer" and the album "Confident". "Cool" was used a LOT at dance parties that summer and I wasn't sure if they were queerbaiting or gay (turns out the latter). The album is great - give it a listen.
I didn't listen to "Dancing with the Devil" beyond the single with Ariana Grande - a little too chill for me. I've only heard singles from the new album but I can't wait to listen to it.

Their new album ROCKS.
Not trying to be offensive here but genuine question - didn't they just make some headlines because they said they were reverting the pronouns back to she/her?
I saw someone say they go by both which adds to my confusion.

a lot of people that use they/them also use she/her or he/him.

I love all of those. I listened to her new album coming home from work today and it’s really great. It has a rock-vibe, which I love with her voice. I highly recommend it.

Demi is she/they
Wait - I thought she wanted us to use she/her now?

Several years I had a "Damn, I'm out of touch" moment when I saw an ad that referred to "Demi and Nick" and I was like "Him I didn't know Demi Moore and Nick Lachey were doing a thing together." Then I realized it was Demi Levato and Nick Jonas.
That's the most significant connection I have to her. Though when I saw the title of her album today I laughed out loud, I think it's rad.

My relative "old-ness" combined with just not knowing any of the upcoming pop names/singers always led me to combine Demi Lovato to Ariana Grande to Selena Gomez (and I'm sure some others who didn't last as long). Not even sure if they all had singing careers (I know Selena from Only Murders in the Building now) but I just could not differentiate them because I avoided news stories/articles and didn't listen to their music.

Such a cutie on that show though
Yeah, but her acting that first season was SO bad.
