Good evening, subjects!
It's time for Volume 3 of Festival 5 Live presented by Four Loko: An Interview with shuck
It was a pleasure speaking with Pitchfork's finest, Mr. Ryan Schreiber, and to hear about Chicago's most interesting festival.
While the festival is typically well-received, I wondered how Schreiber and his associates use a substantially lower budget than other festivals within the city to still set themselves apart. When asked about this, Mr. Schreiber noted Pitchfork's rich history in Chicago and how its roots trace back to right around the time Lollapalooza settled in Grant Park. The main way they aim to set themselves apart year in and year out is by continuing to book lineups full of various genres while many other festivals around the center lean more towards a specific genre.
In addition to booking artists from many genres, Pitchfork prides themselves in booking both independent and local artists and, thus, feel that some of their bookings will be overlooked by many other festivals. For this year, specifically, Schreiber believes that Pitchfork will have an exclusive headliner for the very first time, and they are incredibly excited about this booking that they have wanted for year.
For Pitchfork attendees, they can expect to see a similar 3 stage lineup from years past, but this year they hope to sway away from booking all artists from one genre on one stage across a whole day. He hopes they can develop a schedule that not only appeals to the tastes of their fans but also might introduce attendees to acts they might not have known or expected to see beforehand.
Finally, be on the lookout for Pitchfork to try and secure a number of homegrown Chicago artists and they have always successfully done.
I look forward to seeing what kind of punch this lil fest can pack this year despite sitting securely in the shadow of bigger festivals in the city.

A growing number of insiders are becoming more and more worried about The Wheel and what it will bring to the festival community.
One insider reports he "hasn't slept since first mention of The Wheel," and it can only be assumed he is shitting bricks as The Wheel's hunger grows and grows.
Luckily, I will not be affected by this, but I fear many festivals and their bookers are squarely in harm's way.
The Wheel Returns To His Rest, But Will Wake Again Soon.
I’m so confused as to why you’ve personified this element of the simulation as some sort of eldritch abomination. Everything else has been so normal. Did Pat Sajak right a memoir on the horror of wheels recently or something?
