Glastonbury does not do radius clauses. Artists often play London right before/after Glastonbury. I think this makes her more likely.
When she adds sunday shows to both those weekends youll not have to worry about the radius clause at all. Emily Eavis already said she expect Taylor within the next 5 years. 2024 doesnt seem to be it.
Something about this is pretty funny. Like imagine sort of hearing about this as a huge Skream fan, finding the location, and then getting turned away because you’re not wearing face paint?

I would like to see somebody just rub their hands on another persons face to get it on them and hope its accepted.
So apparent guest for Elton are Jacob from Gabriels and Eminem. Along with a choir.

Of course it’s expected that the huge big daytime names will have enormous crowds, but seeing the aerial pictures is always mind blowing.
Yeah. From people there Chvrches who were at the same time had a good sized crowd so it wasnt a graveyard. Maybe park stage was empty ish. Caroline polachek had like 300 people when she was on during Diana last year.
Maybe it’s exceptionally better in person but nothing about the videos or pictures from this festival make me want to go.
If you hold this opinion already I'm not sure you'll be convinced out of it, but I will say that the crowd size tends to be more evenly distributed than not with a few clear exceptions each year, the flags are annoying pretty much only at those aforementioned really crowded sets, and the videos/pictures/Twitter posts will only cover about half of what's actually going on at the festival (there barely ever any coverage of Theatre & Circus or any of the dance areas, let alone any of the other standalone experiences).

What do you want out of the festival I guess is the question. Do you want to see music or get into everything else happening. If you can accept flags are a thing when it comes to your viewing experience at certain stages then youll be ok. The sound quality is just above average if youre thinking about that. Crowd wise its not as bad as it might seem unless youre going to see something like foo fighters where everyone shows up and its packed like sardines. But overall people are friendly and it does skew older anyway as you can tell on videos. Personally I am not digging the weather theyre having this weekend cause if it cracks 80 and the suns out it is not a good thing cause theres hardly any shade.

It's uniquely massive in scale, and lots of people assume that alone will make it a great festival. The reality is probably going to be disappointing if you've been to a lot of other top festivals around the world.

I think a lot of the veterans who have gone since they were teenagers cause back then it was easy to get a ticket just grew into the notion that you needed to have 500 extra things happening outside of the music or else its "boring" to them. Also its an excuse to get blitzed out of your mind for 5 days straight. I have a few friends there this weekend and lineup wise it was pretty weak for them but theyre liking that most of the stuff that interested them was spread out schedule wise.
My wife and I had a lot of fun in 2019 and we are looking forward to returning someday. I didn't have any issues with sound, and the flags didn't bother us too much but we probably went in prepared for them. It was really just a festive environment and the massive scale of it was impressive. Not the kind of festival to run around from stage to stage.

IMO, it is exceptionally better in person. It's the scale and breadth of the various areas of the festival - most of which are sort of their own kingdoms that operate with relative autonomy. It's Burning Man meets an incredible "Music" festival. Nothing else comes close.

Well you can go from stage to stage its just a matter of being efficient with your time and such. We times our sets with walking time and such so there wasnt a mad dash to really get somewhere else and did well. Again, it call comes down to what you wanna get out of it anyway. Ill go see the handful of acts I know have zero chance of coming this way and then fill in the rest with stuff that interests me and of course there will be things that surprise throughout the course of the weekend.
