There’s been some interest for an inforoo Dungeons and Dragons campaign and I wanted to see who would like to join. It would be completely online and anyone of any skill level is obviously invited to join. I love teaching people how to play and am also okay with being the DM (though I’m also very new to it) unless someone else would absolutely love to do it.

I’m totally down but my work schedule might not make it possible in the coming months. I’ll need to figure out if/when we’ll be working out of town again. Should know before a campaign gets formed.
I’m still somewhat new to D&D but not to fantasy RPGs, etc. Finally figured out how to make a character to my liking my last campaign. A bugbear ranger. I rolled insane stats to start. Fun times.
I’d be interested. Never played, but listened to a lot of Harmontown (not that that helps much!) I have the same issues with time as everyone else though, it seems—little kids and occasional after work obligations. Not ideal, I know, I guess keep me posted if it comes together?
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Oh nice well this is definitely more interest than expected
To answer some questions:
schedules can be hard and the last time I DM’ed there was a consistent group but I was ok with players popping in every other week or so to play side characters and stuff, as long as I know who’ll be there in advance I’ll work you back in.
I don’t imagine sessions will be very long (it just depends on how many people want in) but it’s not gonna be like 6 hrs or anything. It’s usually an hour and a half or so.
I have never played before but I have been assured I can figure it out. I hope this is true. I’ll play.
bring me a milf elf
I’ll help her with her backstory. She’s gonna be the deadliest healer milf of all time.
Also, what online set-up do you use? Just curious more than anything. I don’t really know what’s all available. I’ve only done discord w/ Talespire on Steam as a virtual tabletop. Talespire is fine for battles but probably not worth asking everyone to pay for I don’t think.
Edit: ohh, and D&D Beyond for character sheets.
I’d recommend for new folks to go there and tool around with their character creator. You’ll learn the basics there pretty easily.

I thought I had played when I was in my youth, but apparently being the DM doesn't count. So I've actually never played and I haven't been a DM since I was 17.

I mean I’ll try to. I was mostly joking around but I can explain sone basic stuff and give you a goofy character name like I always come up with.

Further info on me is that I have a bit of experience. I've started like 8 diff campaigns with people but not sure I've ever actually been a part of one that completed. You know how it goes.
I'm not a huge rule stickler. You gotta use numbers for stuff obviously but narrative is what makes it fun.
Is there still room in this? I've never played before so I also wouldn't want to slow anything down if that's a possibility.
imo it looks like there’s a lot of people interested who haven’t played much or at all before so you’ll be good
I’m gonna try to make like a Google form tn when I’m off work to try and see where people’s interest are scheduling wise, and then we’ll have a good idea of how many people can actually play!

ok folkssss
so here’s a link to some questions, if everyone who’s interested could fill it out that would be super. hopefully it won’t be too all over the place and I’ll get a better feel of what days we can try to play and who’d be able to join us!
