Do you think Phoebe makes as much or more money for a solo show than all three members of boygenius combined for their shows? Assuming Phoebe solo is a bigger draw, which it may not be I'm just assuming it is
Phoebe solo is a bigger draw than boygenius, plus she doesn't have to give away 2/3 = way more $ for Phoebe touring solo.
The graphics they have for the individual days have been giving me strong SNL from the past few years vibes (before they changed the graphics this year).
11/28 Raveonettes (Copenhagen, Denmark) 12/4 Interpol 12/14 LCD Soundsystem 12/31 Billy Joel 1/25 The Killers (Las Vegas) 2/12 Jack White 2/25 Father John Misty 3/6 Inhaler 4/10 Franz Ferdinand 4/17 Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds 5/15 Amyl & the Sniffers 5/18 Fontaines D.C. 9/1 Oasis
If they would have had a payment plan when I got super presale, I would have a ticket. But they didn't, I started crafted and I haven't looked since. SOOOO...I guess we will see what happens. I spent money on Maya getting fucking sick and maybe having diabetes.
3post1jack1, Oh I am so in for food with you and Paul! <3 Hopefully more and we get to see a show together.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a presale where they had a higher tier than had a general with a lower tier.
I’ve seen presale where they only show you the expensive tickets in the arena and then show you the cheap ones in general after you felt like you had to buy the expensive ones.
So even though I never seen it I don’t doubt the scumminess of any company that already is using a tier system for their product.
“Selling out” of cheaper GA tickets in a presale and then having more available for the general sale is fucked up beyond belief. Way to penalize your biggest supporters.

Tier 1 for LCD in NYC sold out immediately during presale and now you can get it during the regular onsale 7 hours after it started. Beyond fucked up.
Edit: guess they’re finally gone but the point is still valid. Lol

Really surprised they didn't just hold it Union Park since that park holds multiple fests per year without much of a pushback from the neighborhood. City really needs a dedicated festival space.

They probably only allow a certain amount of permits each year and got the short end of it.
I think it’s mostly funny that this park that most of us in Chicago had never even heard of before a few weeks ago is now about to be the center of a big controversy.

I always operate under the assumption that a percentage of all tiers, price levels, etc. are made available through presales and a larger percentage of each are held back for the general onsale. Not to say that both presale and regular onsale tickets can't sellout quickly, but "sold out" during a presale generally means that the allotment of tickets set aside for the presale are what's sold out.
If you use Spotify, it pays to follow any artist you like, even remotely, because you'll then be emailed presale codes when that artist plays your area. It's not enough to simply save a bunch of albums and songs by an artist to your library. Following the artist page is what unlocks the benefits.

How are these selling in various markets? LA still has tier 1 available for all 3 shows but it's also larger capacity than most of the others. I wonder if they abandon the tiers for any that aren't selling quickly.

I looked at every date last night just because I was bored, not a single one is sold out and only 9/36 have moved to tier 2.
