Definitely need an update on everyone’s waffle status as this day progresses.
I grabbed a 72 box of eggo homestyle ones yesterday along with real [tm] Maple Sy'rp (put maple sy'rp or grape jelly on it and it tastes like a...). I ate 4 yesterday.

That's actually crazy. Haven't heard anyone mention that in a min. I gotta check, since a lot of the stuff my dad and I used to scratch is beat up so I mostly use digital scratch records now. (Which feels kinda lame but it's convenient asl)

It wouldn't be right if NYC had one, but hot damn I miss Waffle House. NYC is a pancake town.
They only came to New Orleans semi-recently. They all started opening in 2015 here. I think the one on Canal Street (the line between the CBD and the French Quarter) is considered the fanciest Waffle House in America. Or it was when it opened but it isn't fancy, it just has an iron fence with fleur de lis on top and a bullshit fake courtyard.
Now that I think about it, there was one not far from me in 2013 in Terrytown, because I remember going with my ex and taking photos of random goats roaming the highway.
Has the TIN curse been mentioned yet? Bc there was a long streak in there where recipients would win, then never post on the board again. Some people just can’t handle the pressure.
Also, can we please bring the plaques back? Who’s organizing?
OK, a couple of months before Roo I decided something needed to be done to recognize our TIN Award winners. I contacted NOD about it, and this is the result.
Flanz's went in the mail since he was unable to attend this year (with an Omar/The Wire button just from me ), but we were lucky enough to present Tom's to him at Superjam Saturday night. I had Dave do the honors of presenting.

Might hit Waffle House tomorrow morning before my haircut. Or after. Don't know how early I'll be able to get up- my girlfriend and I are doing Self Care Friday where we're each gonna drink a bottle of wine and do face masks and I'll probably cry at some Romantic Comedy that she chooses. Those red wine hangovers hurt.

I haven’t said a whole lot in here about my candidacy but I will say this. I will be showing up to brunch with my girlfriend. We will be in togas. I will have Costco Bacon, Vegan Jerky, and a bag of red wine with disposable wine glasses. Whether or not I win, I will handle the decision gracefully and toast the winner. I just want a toga day at Roo and invite you all to celebrate with us in an outfit that is both breezy and moderately covering
