Maybe they need the VIP viewing areas for Aphex? 🤷🏽♂️
Been a lurker for awhile, but came here to post holy crap to this possible news. If this ends up being true, it doesn't even matter what the rest of the weekend looks like ... I'm there.

Why do we play this game so often where someone who doesn’t have inside information, and has never claimed to, makes a post that sounds confident enough to unintentionally make others think they’re a source?

Because he’s almost certainly going to be correct about Alanis who nobody was talking about beforehand?

It does feel like they seem pretty confident in this year's lineup compared to the last few ... so, unless they're rolling out the red carpet for Alanis ... I'm hoping they were able to snag Richard.
Someone on the fest subreddit says it's Alanis, Jamie xx and Black Pumas. I'm gonna assume that's a guess- troll. Black Pumas are in Oregon on Sunday but I don't think Pitchfork even reviews them?

Black Pumas would be genuinely shocking because in addition to never having reviewed them, Pitchfork has never posted a news article about them and there’s no tag for them on their website! (Jamie xx would be less shocking but idk if they’d bring him back to basically do his 2015 set again but this time headlining. Stranger things have happened though.)

Yeah, Alanis is going be in my area of St. Louis on a Tuesday I believe ... either way, it's like right after Pitchfork and is an easy drive from Chicago.

Yeah like I can believe Jamie and Alanis, but Black Pumas as the third would be a choice lol.
My biggest issue with that is that Jeff Rosenstock is doing the salt shed in April but also Black Duck is the kind of random ass Chicago band this festival would book. Hmm.
