I’m a little worried that our current Friday lineup is going to be anchored by Hozier, Allison Russell, and Old Crow Medicine Show.
Yeah that feels pretty likely to me. I don't have any guesses for the first two acts on the Fort, but I think after that it will be:
Molly Tuttle -> Allison Russell-> Black Pumas -> Hozier
If OCMS is playing Friday, I'd expect they either close or pre-close the Quad.
Newport was posting on social a few days after the Molly Tuttle announcement hinting at it being a particularly unique set. Not sure how or why though at this time.

Hoping for Brittany Howard/Elvis Costello to crossover. Jazz Fest once again knocking it out of the park. Now if this Folk Fest lineup could just build some of that same momentum…
Wow that looks like a blast. Lianne La Havas is a great get. I definitely hope we get a few crossovers. I really need to start considering doing Jazz haha

On Christian McBride's site, it has NFF and NJF listed, but it has the dates for Jazz listed twice. Do you think we'll see a surprise pop-up? Maybe supporting Rhiannon Giddens, as they've collabed before?
Honestly, I went to both last year and Jazz was a much more chill experience. I had no problem going between stages and it never felt too packed like Folk often does. Lines were also a lot better too.
Christian McBride is better at booking than Jay Sweet is. That’s it.

Is this a more recent thing? Jazz’s lineups were not as good in the mid-2010s if I remember correctly. They were still holding onto jazz of year’s past, like Folk was doing in the 90s and early 00s. But since Covid, Jazz lineups have been stellar.
