This is a much more exciting first announcement compared to Caamp last year, for my taste anyway
wild how booking an act who hasn't been to NFF since 2008 is a more exciting thing than bringing back tepid nonsense like Caamp for the 4th time in 5 years
now watch, the next few weeks will be nothing but like, various Dawes side projects and semi-country singer-songwriter types who nobody has ever heard of

Ill be okay with the latter if it means the waitlist will start moving 😆

in my experience, the waitlist doesn't tend to move much until the month before the fest or so. i got tickets off the waitlist the last two years and i dont think i was offered any until June at the earliest - except for 2022, when i missed my window when my waitlist turn came up because i was on a plane coming home from coachella, and that year you only had like 3 hours to claim tickets.

Great first announcement but hard disagree on Caamp, I’ll take them every year.

Dice just offered me a Sat-Sun pass off the waitlist, that was a lot quicker than I thought and I couldn’t be happier (or feel more grateful) ❤️ For reference for others on here, I got on the waitlist for a two day pass at 1:01
I wouldn’t even write them off as headliner if it was a celebration of their influence on modern folk music. Bring out OCMS, Conor Oberst, etc. (Probably not Ryan Adams…)

Oh yeah Quad closer would work. Either that or late afternoon Fort.

The article also references a recent appearance by “Brandi Williams, and friends.” Take the article for with a grain of salt.
This is a new process for 2024. Looks like there will be wristbands for accessibility. Special areas at all stages. Wonder if this will lead to no chairs under the tents (except these wristband areas)
This could also be a new thing because Newport was blasted by a fan last year for accessibility options.

Really hoping that they make a no blanket/chairs rule under the tent.
