Now that I think about it, I haven’t seen the board of advisors touted in a while. I seem to remember Gillian Welch being on it at one time as well.

That feels like a lock, Allison Russell is a win for me.

Don’t see him headlining. Jay literally said in an interview a few days ago that artists earn their spots at Newport. Paraphrasing.

He hasn’t earned anything.

I have a hard time picturing Newport scheduling her that early. I think that was the Big Thief slot in 2017, and they have both blown up a lot since then. Different festivals, but Big Ears has her as their headliner on Thursday above Charles Lloyd and Kurt Vile. She’s playing some pretty good sized venues on her tour too. I think she’d be closer to Quad/Harbor closer.

Fiona Apple is on the new album. I know it’s wishful thinking every year but a gal can dream. If that happens, Noah Kahan and Hozier could both headline for all I care lol.

Afghan Whigs are touring that ends in mid July. Could they be a Dino Jr. type bill? I’m not too familiar.

Tyler Childers too, any thoughts on him earning a headlining spot?

feel like its pretty safe to pencil Tyler Childers in; dates work, he did an aftershow last year, etc.  Could be a headliner but they had some bigger subs last year, so if they stick with that trend I could see him subbing as well.  

local dates don't mean much.  tons of festival acts play places like New Haven before/after NFF.
