This line is interesting. Makes it sounds like Conan is not the main focus.
this is going to be a lot of really great musicians, and I would be … I’d call it the caulking in-between the tiles. It’ll be for people who want to hear good music and, occasionally, me.”
I feel like Jack White is pretty likely. Wonder if he would drag Meg out of retirement and make her strum a guitar again.
Only issue I see there is that Jack White comes off as a picky musician. He gonna be ok playing in a band spearheaded by Dawes?
He's tight with Conan so I could see him just going with it. Especially if they do a song or two that doesn't require much out of the full band. Playing "we are gonna be friends" with Conan is easy

I mean I know Dawes is a bit of a punchline around here, but they’re all legitimately good musicians. Griff especially is a major studio drummer in LA. Taylor used to be a pretty common studio guy as well but seems to have refocused on cowriting recently.
Plus Jack White has hated Ryan Adams for years, he’d probably do it just to piss him off.
I wonder if Marc Maron is a possibility. He is friends with Conan and has played with Jimmy V for decades including having him in his own band when he does music shows in LA.

Havent seen this mentioned, but my dark horse for the TBA set on Friday is Dr. Dog.
New album out today and they aren't techincally a "touring" band anymore, but they've been playing a few shows here and there this summer and are playing Riot Fest in September.
Probably a long shot, but they've played the fest before, so I see them as about as likely as any of the other bands mentioned
