Realistically, what is a war crime? I’m not asking for examples of war crimes, I’m saying what is it other than some words we use to describe something that happens? Because if the United States commits a war crime, nothing will actually happen. If our allies commit one, nothing will happen.
Is it just a way for our government to describe something an enemy does so that we can act justified in our response to it? It just seems meaningless
It's based in international law, the Geneva Conventions, the UN, etc.
Right, but if there are no consequences for committing war crimes, or if the consequences aren’t justly and fairly used across the board to all countries, then what’s the point?
They killed as many people in 30 days as Russia did in the whole of Ukraine in a span of 600+ days. And Ukraine has a population of 30m in comparison of the 2,3m living in Palestine.

They've also dropped more bombs in Gaza than the US did in Afghanistan in the year the US dropped the most bombs in Afghanistan over the course of the war.
My solution is the THREE state solution. Import a bunch of Italian Catholics and Greek (or even Slavic why not) orthos and create a Christian state in Jerusalem which will act as the referee between both sides.

There have always been Christians living together with Jews and Muslims in Palestine. I don't get why or how this would be a solution.
