I would really like to see The War on Drugs and Todd Terje return.
Any chance of Zach Bryan headlining next year? He is pretty huge right now and also doing Hangout so there is a connection. Some would say more Stagecoach appropriate but he has a lot of appeal right now.
I think a lot of y’all are inflating Paramore’s popularity LOL it’s a bit delusional to think they would pull a bigger crowd than Dua or anything close to No Doubt.
They would be like 3rd or 4th billed on their day. I think they’ve managed to stay more relevant than Blink 182, but they don’t give me the same nostalgia.
Not at all. Paramore IS No Doubt to a whole generation. They sold out two nights at The Forum last year. I think a lot of people underestimate the hold that Paramore and MCR had/has on people.
MCR is a headliner by now, Paramore is not. Hundreds of acts can play the forum including Bleachers and Jungle. Charli XCX and Troye Sivan can sell out two nights at the Forum as well, but they wouldn’t be above 4th on their day.
Paramore had a huge crowd at Boston Calling last year and it was a great show. I'd be a bit disappointed if they were a headliner at Coachella, but I could definitely see them bottom of the poster slot or as a strong sub.
What are the odds we get Normani on the lineup with her first album dropping this summer?
Like for real dropping? Holy shit I haven't thought about her in years.
Ironically, the longer it gets the better chance for her because now Coachella is booking acts like Tinashe and Chloe now to great crowds and I think if music actually does get released, there will be fans at that show. But this is/was getting to Detox levels of cursed album.
I will say this about Paramore, when Misery Business comes on at Orange Theory I am sprinting on that treadmill like there is no tomorrow. And that's about all I got.
Lana Del Rey subbed Lolla in 2023 and headlined Coachella with the same material so why are we acting like it's farfetched and unheard of for a Coachella act to be billed lower at a different festival?
If Lana, Tyler, Tame, LCD can headline Coachella, so can Paramore. Though I do feel like they are more likely to get bottom poster 4th headliner
theyre too big to sub and too small to headline. i dont see them playing coachella
They are not too big to sub. Gorillaz, Blur, J Balvin. They’re right there
There isn't consistency with how big Coachella subs are either. Janelle Monae, HAIM, off the top of my head were billed much lower at other festivals the same year they subbed Coachella. HAIM couldn't even sell out the Bowl. We've gotten light and strong headliners, light and strong subs. Anything is possible honestly

I’m surprised you haven’t pivoted to T-Pain as your headliner of choice yet

I want to give GV a little bit of credit and assume they realize based on ticket sales and outcome that the Lana idea was a flop.
If Lana coming out on a motorcycle and then playing the same set that she's played for 10 years is the new headliner standard, big yikes.
the arguments on here for whether people think paramore should headline seem to have lot less to do with how big people think they are and moreso regarding enjoyment of their music. i mean especially with people defending tame impala and lana del rey headlining but not paramore. paramore has sold out far more arena shows than either of the previous two i mentioned lol
But Tame doesn’t sub fests and Paramore does so I don’t really understand the argument here
paramore headlined boston calling last year and tame has subbed festivals since headlining coachella. again, paramores recent arena tour has shown that the demand is there

This is exactly true, but just the opposite way that you meant.

Headlined BC…and subbed Roo and ACL
What has Tame subbed? Not rhetorical I just have clearly missed that
I assume more people bought tickets strictyl because Lana headlined, than because Tyler, doja, or no doubt. I suspect this is a large consideration with each headliner each recent year: SHM return, Bad Bunny, Frank, Blackpink specifically

Bonnaroo 2021, but they were supposed to headline 2020.
Tame was also a sub at Osheaga 2019 and not a main stage headliner at Lolla 2019.
