Based on Coachella's booking history, Paramore is big enough to headline / get bottom poster placement. That honestly shouldn't even be a debate. They'd be on the lighter side, but Coachella books light headliners often, it is what it is. Whether you enjoy their music or not is irrelevant lol
Haven't even thrown out that they are writing new music so it's possible that they'll have another album out by then.
Anyways, as long as Coachella gets at least one home run headliner, sales won't be an issue. They just can't have three light headliners on the same bill like this year.

Paramore is neither headlining nor RTTD lol. Not now, maybe a couple years ago but prob not then either. They would be a legit big font sub though.
But let’s talk about the real booking that needs to happen. I just saw Challengers and my god all I could think was that Reznor/Ross made this score to play Coachella. It’s a good, fun, campy movie, but every time that score kicks in it hits like seeing Justice this year. Perhaps better even than Social Network and definitely their most live-ready score. If they’re ever going to do live shows, this is the time.

I thought the same thing! Trent's best score since Social Network, and a great way to ease out of Coachella mode back into the real world.

Did you watch the GQ interview where they talked about it? It was pretty good and informative even if they only talked about that score for a short time. I’ve loved everything they’ve done as far as movies go. This and Soul were very cool departures from their normal routine.

Super excited for Challengers. Going to see it on Tuesday. I’ve heard really great things about the score.

Dream booking
Only for all of us to get shut out of the Mojave because the Euphoria stans camp out all day hoping to see Zendaya play tennis onstage
What are the odds we get Normani on the lineup with her first album dropping this summer?
Like for real dropping? Holy shit I haven't thought about her in years.
Ironically, the longer it gets the better chance for her because now Coachella is booking acts like Tinashe and Chloe now to great crowds and I think if music actually does get released, there will be fans at that show. But this is/was getting to Detox levels of cursed album.
Yeah it has a formal first single right now and its locked in for June 14th right now. I feel like if the album delivers she is a must book.
People will throw a fit about her billing tho if she is booked as I don't know if she has ever done a festival, but that would be like an absolute must see if she was on the lineup.

if it’s the person I’m thinking of (ex-fifth harmony member) I saw them while I was waiting for mac demarcos set at osheaga 2019

would love to see Slowdive, Duster, and HANL off the sick new world lineup. also since Cap’n Jazz and Dismemberment Plan are active again those would be great sonora acts

Mock poster Q: if Rihanna and Kendrick were booked, I am assuming A$AP and Keem are packaged deals...what's the lowest you could possibly bill them lol. I feel like they both have to sub no?

I think there's a chance for any of them but you can't assume or even count on a package deal. Kendrick played lots of fests without Keem. It's also not like Jay-z is opening Beyonce concerts or Blake Shelton is playing with Gwen.
It's also tough to say who's a sub these days because 90% of the "sub?" examples in this thread still seem bigger than Doja Cat.

Would time my Molly stop during In Motion just like in the movie where the sorority girls are taking it on a party bus

My take: - Paramore is no headliner, at least not atm. A cult following for sure but lacking that mainstream appeal needed to headline. Lana was just on the cusp, bordering between cult and mainstream, but made it because her streaming numbers were behind only Taylor Swift and her team likely pushed for her to headline. - GV will likely want Dua Lipa back for 2025 but I bet they’re keeping an eye on how this album performs in the US - the singles haven’t stuck. - No chance Rihanna plays. She’s a billionaire and I don’t think she’s passionate about music anymore. I think she’d do it if the number was right, but I also don’t see GV spending millions just to get Rihanna.

Feel like Radical Optimism would have to be catastrophically bad for her to be taken out of the headliner conversation. Even if it's mediocre or underwhelms, she'll still have headliner status and will still have enough universal appeal among all crowds to warrant a Coachella headliner slot.

This is a bonkers take... Rihanna has been like the #1 "when will she do Coachella?" since 2019. I don't see GV spending the money on Swifty pants if she sticks to that alleged astronomical number she pitched this year
