I cannot imagine Green Day ever signed up as a sub
My guess was either Post or GD were in the RTTD slot with Fred as a HL (something like Friday - Gaga, Saturday - Fred, Sunday - Post, Welcome to the Desert - Green Day) and when Travis Scott became available (GV have been obviously wanting him for 5 years and want to be the first post-Astroworld major fest) they probably told Fred they were pushing him to a future year and Travis wanted the below slot
I have doubts on Green Day ever agreeing to be a RTTD. I suspect people heard their name involved and made the motivated reasoning linkage that Green Day is comparable to No Doubt which just isnt true.
The day Blink 182 hit the poster as a headliner, it was a wrap for Green Day being there as well.
Didn't work for me but if you navigate thru the presale link, there's a diff Amex link available once you're on the AXS ticket platform. Just got W2 tix thru that very easily.
This is 100% do lab. Quasar seems a pretty specific use case....and its not for that.
Ehh, they threw a couple Boiler Rooms on it, it's not inconceivable
They made some of the Quasar sets Boiler Rooms? Or are you just saying some artists that have played Boiler Room played on Quasar and therefore you think it means its a possibility?
Can someone describe Kraftwerk live. I'm pretty pumped, but never seen them, and have no idea how to break this one down for my group.
I haven’t seen them either so can’t help you with that. Tbh though this isn’t one I would try to convince your group over, just split if needed. I feel it’s gonna be a set for true electronic heads who care about the history of the genre. If the historical angle doesn’t appeal then I doubt they’ll wanna be there.

I'm saying that the B4B was Boiler Roomable multiple times (in NY and Ibiza) and were pretty long sets. They weren't just the Brat remixes, they were full B2B DJ sets, so it's not like it was just some 50 minute DoLab set.
Although I'm not in disagreement that an explicitly Partygirl (Brat remix only) set would be at DoLab. Also 3/4 of the artist being on the lineup also cuts in your favor too.

four old german dudes behind electronic gear all dressed the same. each one has a specific part they play, percussion(ish), melody(ish), countermelody(ish), and harmony(ish). mostly sequenced stuff with layers. they have screens behind then that usually play some cool videos. some are from musc videos and some are more waveform (ish), at one point they leave the stage and "the robots" come out. the animated robots play we are the robots while the old german dudes take a break. then the old german dudes come back and the real dance party starts.

Even some of my friends that are very into music history, found it to be ok. I agree here that this is a pretty specific case of "must see".

Maybe I'm extrapolating way too hard here off just one year of its existence, but Quasar to me seems to be pretty genre specific, much like Yuma is. I don't see Partygirl fitting the mold of that sound at all.

Yeah I've been trying to figure out whether Basement Jaxx/Kraftwerk would fit the vibe of me and my partner who are more into newer-age EDM. But we do also appreciate must-see classics, and my partner especially is super open to older acts. What will the vibes be like? I guess that's the better question

think of it as Electronic Music 101
you'll hear EVERYTHING in that set. the origins of Techno, Electro, Breaks & more. the visuals I think have gotten better over the years. there will be some chill parts but the parts that slap will fuckin SLAP

Can someone ask the old lady from Egypt what she thinks of Lana Del Rey headlining Coachella so we can know whether the festival has redeemed its reputation as a laughingstock worldwide

Genre as in EDM? Because the Brat remixes are EDM-adjacent and the Boiler Rooms were very EDM heavy (house, garage, etc.). We had a wide mix of EDM representation at Quasar this year, so I'm just genuinely asking.

I think for lack of a better term the Quasar had "serious DJs."
