Honestly as excited as I am for three 6 mafia, I’m even more excited for if they bring out Project Pat. Having 36M is just gonna make Project Pat be on my wishlist every year now lmao
Probably get Yuma and Quasar at some point but none of the other stages.
Except for dolab and Heineken house, of course.
That makes sense, I’m just feeling greedy and need to know Charli and Zedd (and therefore Sammy V’s position and tangentially Basement Jaxx) because I feel like their liminal set time status is creating potential for a lot of conflict down the lineup at night.
Hope we get Quasar today though, I hope the lineup’s just as sick as last year, though I hope W2 gets a Floating Points Daphni Jamie type booking and they spread out the Anyma and Diplo type bookings

I feel like Basement Jaxx live is exactly the sort of thing they'd put in the Mojave. I could see it on Outdoor, but being in a tent makes more sense to me, it doesn't seem like the sort of thing with the notoriety of Justice or Gesa or something.

Didnt even fill the Mojave for Fourtet in 2019 but would give their first born to see him now in the same setting. Barely cared about Aphex Twin but prob would roll up now in full force. Basement Jaxx will be just like Underworld. Its a niche thing and those that know will be in attendance while the other dummies are watching Zedd. Same for The Prodigy. They were one of the earliest live band electronic groups and made it possible for so many others. And it wont get appreciated like it should. Like its funny how you could see that difference last year alone. Chems got all the hype around thw live show and nobody was there. ( nobody as in it wasnt packed ) But they all were there for Prydz doing Holo. Kraftwerk if they do get slotted on Outdoor will be like somebody said earlier, David Byrne. You pay homage to your elders but will never fully appreciate what they did cause its not like the new stuff.

Honestly When the Smoke Clears was an extremely influential album in my life that pushed me towards general degeneracy and baggy pants in middle school, and Ghetty Green (and Hypnotize Camp Posse) were not that far behind in terms of overall importance.
Praying W2 stays at like 80% capacity so we get more space because W1 is going to be PACKED. Hopefully the expansions still create crowd ease during sell outs.

Prodigy/Basement Jaxx/Kraftwerk all belong in a tent. They're not going to draw well and putting any of them on Outdoor will stick out like a sore thumb in the shape of Jean-Michel Jarre.
