I'm voting MDMA because upwards of 75% of electronic music sucks and rolling is absolutely worthless in any other context
Hard disagree. Have rolled for shows like Tool, the Killers, Stevie Nicks, Smashing Pumpkins, Florence & the Machine, Radiohead, and My Morning Jacket, among others, and all of them were super-great experiences.

Also great for a Coming Home dance your senior year of high school as well as your first Phish show later that summer. And in the encore trey is singing Guyute and he goes:
Me as I sleep the sleep of death He sucks from me my only breath That I had breathed since I was ten I hope this happens once again
And you are like "yeah I'm seeing this band for the rest of my life" and then you do that.

not only is mdma great for plenty of live music outside of the edm genre, it can also be amazing in other contexts. one of my best rolls ever was when an ex and i took some then frolicked around outside in the summer across mountain open space, with absolutely perfect weather -- and just chatted and listened to music on our iphone speakers for hours. so im gonna have to hard disagree here

Woah woah woah why is everyone coming for booze. All it's done is destroy lives, families, and livers since the dawn of time. And if you drink too much you forget everything about the night you had and wake up feeling like you got hit by a train.

Come on guys, we already killed nitrous and ketamine early, so we got rid of the Tipper wooks. Lets kill alcohol, caffeine, and then come for the actual fun drugs.
Woah woah woah why is everyone coming for booze. All it's done is destroy lives, families, and livers since the dawn of time. And if you drink too much you forget everything about the night you had and wake up feeling like you got hit by a train.
Some of us can drink without any of that happening. Well maybe liver isn’t avoidable? I have no idea how much drinking you have to do to do serious liver damage?

Imagine being a regular festival goer and being on a music festival board and then voting off MDMA and alcohol before caffeine in a game called DRUG survivor.

it really varies person by person, just like damage done by cigs: some people can smoke a pack a day for 50 years and live into their 80s, while others might get lung cancer after just 10 years of regularly smoking.
similarly, some people can binge drink for decades and be relatively fine health-wise, while others can over-drink--which can literally mean just 2-3/day, or binge drinking (4+ bevs) at least once a week--for just 5-10 years and end up with cirrhosis of the liver, alcoholic hepatitis, or one of the many cancers that alcohol is a risk factor for getting.
there are countless of people in their 30s who are now getting hospitalized for cirrhosis after just socially but heavily drinking for around a decade.

Tied. Which of these two are you going to reach for:
1) At a sporting event 2) At a concert or festival middle of the day 3) At dinner or brunch 4) Because it's Wednesday 5) Because it's hot outside 6) Because it's cold outside 7) You woke up with the shakes 8) At a wedding 9) You want to get hammered T) You have social anxiety E) You got dared
There is one right and one wrong answer for the tied competitors.

this really is just proving how problematic it is that a lot of people infuse alcohol use into so many aspects of their lives.
and kinda speaks to how nefarious alcohol marketing is; it literally kills hundreds of THOUSANDS of people a year, but the commercials we see for it are always positive, never speaking to the risks: people laughing as they clink their glasses together at a party, hot girls on the beach sipping cocktails, etc.
contrast that with the fact that the only commercials we see now (rightfully so) re: cigs are about how they can kill you, with people speaking out from their experience almost dying from cig use, etc.--and it is honestly fucked up. both are dangerous and can pose tons of severe health risks to its users, but alcohol marketing is always positive, never speaking of the dark side of using it.

Idk about you all but I plan on ruining the family Easter brunch at Olive Garden by taking .5 grams of MDMA beforehand!

I dunno. As I've gotten older, the appeal of getting anything more than a buzz from booze has just dropped off a cliff for me. Back in, like, 2009, I was getting drunk multiple nights a week - my band would bring a handle of Evan Williams to rehearsals and just about polish it off between the 6 of us over the course of 2 hours, and I was also going out after various theater rehearsals and knocking them back there. And then I'd get up and go to work the next day, and be OK, if dragging a bit.
Nowadays, being drunk just makes me feel, like, poisoned, and I spend the next morning feeling like butt. I mean, don't get me wrong - the mornings after a roll aren't a picnic, either, but I guess I feel better equipped to handle that than I am an alcohol hangover. Plus, I like who I am when I'm rolling much more than I like drunk jorgeandthekraken, who's usually maudlin and sometimes a real asshole.
