Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I bought my crocs before the trip but they just seemed a little too big so offered them to Zeebo who said the same thing, so we left them at home. I wore my Keens the first three days and they held up well but by Sunday my feet were tired of them so switched to the Merrell Ventilators with socks and that was the perfect changeup.
I also vote for Chacos. I bought my pair 3 years ago and they're still holding on. Wore them all through Bonnaroo this year, felt great assuming you can forget what the mud you're wading through in front of the port-o-potties on the busy streets is probably made out of...
I really don't get the Crocs thing, either. They look particularly goofy on guys.
It's going to be a crapshoot unless you go to a store and get a feel for them. Trust me, it's the only way to do it. Their fit is pretty unique. I'd just find a local place that sells 'em and run in there. Walk around in a couple of pairs and see whether you want them a little looser or a little tighter.
I'll always prefer Burks over anything but if we are talking about muddy and wet weather then Crocs are the best. I took Crocs to All Good but I didn't wear them because it was so nice out, I just wore burks. Then I went to moe.down where the mud was ridiculous and Crocs were the best thing to have. I actually had people coming up to me saying they wished they had brought a pair. You don't get too wet cuz the water drains out, they stay on your feet, they weigh nothing and are easy to clean. I'll always bring them incase of bad weather. As far as looking goofy I'd much rather have something comfortable on my feet than be suffering for the sake of looking good.
I've gone as far as buying a pair of shoe rubbers that I'll put over my Crocs when it's really raining or there's too much snow on the ground. It's surprisingly comfortable, if not a little bit insane.
I've heard good things about both. which one should i buy tomorrow? huh huh? ;D
I have a pair of chacos which worked great last year at roo. they are about 90-100 a pair but they are very durable wih an ingenious one strap design so you dont have but one strap on weach sandal.

My girlfriend bought me a pair of Crocs before Bonnaroo last year. At first I wasn't really sure about them, but after a couple of days of wearing them i was hooked. They are so very comfortable that I rarely take them off (been wearing them all winter). They were so perfect fo Roo! Light-weight, well-ventilated and easy to clean-off when you're done...They are practically made for Bonnaroo-use.
Chacos owners convince themselves that they own a superior piece of foot wear, only because they were suckered into paying way too much for something that's far less comfortable than a pair of Crocs.

I love my chacos.....been wearing the same pair to roo since 2003.
love mine too got a nice discount at REI right before roo, they were still pretty expensive but i think they were a good investment!
also, REI is awesome if you have one near you and have never been, definitely check it out!
the shoe lady helped me custom fit my chacos for a good 20-30 minutes without any hint of exasperation.
plus they let me return my cowboy hat that deflated after it got wet on sunday night with no problem! ok that's enough of my plugging REI.... for now ;D
The flagship store in Denver is pretty spectacular. I returned a closeout tent, used, no questions asked after Roo last year, for store credit. In retrospect, I probably should have hung onto it, but was convinced it was too big to be practical. For car camping though, it was ace. Oh well.

I brought Crocs specifically for Bonnaroo last year, now they are nearly all I wear except on super rainy days, and I practically lived in Birkenstocks for 15 years. The comfort and fit will keep me buying Crocs for the next 15.
ive found you dont need to buy new ones. these things take a beating. mine made it through several festivals and 2 years of everyday use and they were still in great shape, until i lost one of them at all good. and my new pair has been through alot since ive got them and have no signs of wear either. best shoes ive ever owned. and the perfect festival shoe. i had tevas but they sucked when they got muddy. the grit would rub under the staps. i left them in a huge pile of crappy footwear that was left next to the croc stand at roo and got crocs.
now all i need is croc snow boots

Yeah Mon!!! I wear mine year round. I never buy things because of how much they cost, but they are sooo worth the money. I've heard good things about Crocs, but I think I'm gonna stand by my chacos til the end.
I lost my faith in tevas at Bonnaroo last year... I don't know why but the ones I wore all summer in 2005 (even to roo) gave me a giant blister the first day. they ended up in a trash can next to the rope sandal stand. i did enjoy my jesus shoes but i'm thinking i'm gonna bring my crocs this year since they have more support on the bottom. I got hooked on them in July and now own regular ones, flip flops (purchased at vegoose!) and the mary janes.
