At target they have croc lookalikes that look and feel exactly the same for 10.00, so I'd get those and if they don't work out you can always get the tevas and not feel silly!
i had tevas in 04 and they rubbed the sh.it out of my foot when they got wet and muddy. the wet grit between my skin and the straps was torture. in 05 i had some sandals that were killing me so i ditched them and got crocs. they are the most comfortable shoes i have. i love them. they are perfect in the mud. flip the heel strap down and your good to go. there was one spot where the strap connected that rubbed a little bit but after wearing them a bit it went away. if you dont care about looking a little silly crocs are the best. i wear mine everywhere. i see lots of old ladies wearing them around now adays. i think they are marketing them as gardening shoes in old poeple magazines or something.

i thought the same thing. but i got black anyways and ive never had any issues at all. i think that the material they are made of just dosent get that hot.

So I got my Crocs yesterday. I think about 1000 other people had the same idea since by the time I got to City Sports all the good stuff was gone already. They only had about 3 pairs total in my size....geesh. I've been wearing them around the house all day. They're sooo comfy.
By the way, they run really big. Their sizing is a bit wonky. I normally take about a size 7.5 and the Crocs i ended up getting were a size 6.
I bought my second pair of crocs yesterday...I had black ones but I wanted to get the light brown ones since they match more of what I'll be wearing next week. They're SO comfortable, who cares what they look like? Chances are they'll be covered in mud anyway.
Crocs rule..... I love mine and cannot wait to get there to really really break them in....We are going to see everyone in crocs this year......I cannot wait to see all the funny colors people picked

i picked up a pair this weekend after i discovered my old trusty summer sandals were wearing real thin in the soles. i absolutely love them! ventilated, waterproof clogs == brilliant!
for those keeping score, mine are dark blue and were made in mexico.
I got mine from Zappos a few days before 'Roo. Dark brown Aspens (the clog type).
I was a bit skeptical about how they'd look and feel at first, but they ended up being great! My feet got sore and dry, but some lotion and gold bond each morning and they felt brand new!
I haven't wore mine since roo- I'll have ot break them out this weekend! I have a pair of black ones and brown ones. After roo I rinsed them off and they were good as new! So many people comment on how great they are when I wear them- but usually almost always add that they're ugly too, haha
