The flyer that came in with the tickets doesn't say anything about hours for the hospitality tent (the secondary tent is only open when Centeroo is open). Should I take that as an indication that it's 24x7 food?

omg i would be so happy... it's kind of hard to fit in FOOD time with such a packed schedule, would be great to be able to eat whenever we have a minute instead

Straight out of the flyer:
"Two (2) hospitality areas have been created for you. the main VIP hospitality area is located by VIP camping and serves a full buffet and discounted beverages throughout the day. The second VIP hospitality area is located behind the main stage VIP viewing bleacher area (stage right of the What stage). This area will feature light snacks and discounted beverages and will be open the same hours as the main venue."
wow. i think this means food available 24-7. amirite? if so, I won't have to worry about squeezing in mealtimes (and lines so people can before headliners) etc. etc.

Help! As a first time rooer, I am not sure which car/camper situation I should use.
We have a conversion van that pops up to make 2 beds which can hold less stuff
vs
a pick-up hauling a pop-up that has three beds and can hold more crap!
Either way, we are borrowing a 20X10 stand alone canopy to shade the con-van or pop-up.
So, here are the questions.
1. Better to drive in a con-van with no trailering issues but less space? or better to haul it all in the pick-up and deal with rain/theft?/driving a popup?
2. Better to go in the con-van and have the choice b/w tent VIP or RV VIP?
The popup/pick up would require us to stay in the RV section, but is the RV section very noisy with generators? Are people social or do they hide in their AC RVs? Should we just plan to bring along the generator?
3. Where are my tickets! I have been patiently waiting ALL DAY!
Thanks! We are three gals on a mission of mercy for a 40th bday event. ANy input would be soo soo appreciated.
all i know is that if you bring the pop up, you will likely have needed to buy an rv parking pass, which is an additional fee on top of your VIP tickets. Just so you know.
I say go whichever way you will be most comfortable. That is a very large canopy you're bringing, which should be okay in VIP. Pick the option that you're most comfortable with, and don't forget about your comfort on the ride to and from. I don't think space is going to be a problem.
If either option includes an air conditioner, I'd probably opt for that.

I have a feeling it's not food 24/7, because last year's ticket package didn't give times either, as a matter of fact, the paragraph is exactly the same as last year's.
EDIT: Wow, 777 posts and 77 karma points ... weird!
Well, it's still possible because today is my day off and I had the tickets shipped to my office. I already received an email from a co-worker that my UPS package is sitting in my chair. I'll open it Monday and see if I got the golden ticket.

Wow....you're much more patient than most of us would be! I'd be afraid something would happen to it.....you know, gremlins and such......
Patient, HA!! I'm not patient at all! I had planned on going up to the office and grabbing them, but I dressed a little hippy-ish today for running errands.

I think I may have a situation on my hands. Friends and family are coming out of the VIP woodwork and my caravan to Roo is sort of in jeopardy. I've looked on eBay but haven't had any luck yet and I'm also going to try to throw myself on the mercy of Inforoosters because I am in desperate need of a VIP parking pass. I'm supposed to shoot up to Murfresboro this weekend to pickup an additional RV pass but we keep adding vehicles to haul ALL of our stuff.
If you have one or know someone that will not be using it, please send a PM my way. I can PayPal whatever you think is reasonable, including shipping. Please help me to keep from stressing out over the thought of coming to Bonnaroo half prepared.

Hello Ladies and Gents- We are new to Roo, I am coming with my wife and her best friend in a 40 ft RV. We have reservations at KOA on Wednesday night. How difficult will it be to get to the VIP check in from the KOA? It seems that I would be going the opposite direction on Kampground Rd as everyone else but want to make sure. Does anyone know anything about this KOA?
Also, AngrySunday I have an extra parking pass you can have if you want it...
I can't remember where I saw this, but the food will be noon to 9pm this year.
That's the way it was last year. But they left the food out until it was gone and they had a cooler with ice cream and popsicles until very late. The snacks are basically small chip bags (based on last year) so nothing special but they sure cured the munchies between sets. Plus add cheap water and cheap beer and it was pretty much perfect for those who are easily pleased.

The entrance to the KOA is practically beside the Holiday Inn where you check in for VIP-- you're cool.

Oh I know, I was in VIP last year too. But I was told via Roo email that they were doing food a little differently this year in that time span, and maybe having two feeding areas even.
can i sleep in my RV in the HI parking lot? or do they frown on that?
if not, i dunno where to sleep wednesday night, hmmmmm....
I think the HIE would frown on it, especially since it's usually REALLY full (the front lot often full of all the security and cop cars for Roo). We have a suite reserved, so our RV will be in the lot. But I would assume they would actually check plates.

hrmph, any suggestions on where to sleep then? aside from THE walmart? i imagine it will be a pain to get out of there in the morning and not exactly conducive to sleep, either... which after 24 hours of traveling, i will definitely need

I don't know where you are traveling from but any walmart or cracker barrel will do.
My brother and I are going to get a hotel about an hour west of the farm on I-40 in Dickenson, I think. It will only cost us $25 each and it's one last shower, good night's sleep and breakfast at the Waffle House. CKS, if this is something you might do, let me know and we can grab breakfast together.

I have all the good ideas and CKS gets invited to breakfast... I guess I'll go hungry !!
Hey Andrea, I think my wife (Sprout) is your buddy on Last FM... We just got back from this (http://www.appelfarm.org/festival/index.html) today....
Hey, Gene, that festival had a decent line-up. How was it?
I'll have to check out Sprout's page. I haven't been on last.fm too much lately - my sound card is going out on my puter. Once all this Vista stuff gets the kinks worked out I'll get a new one, but until then, it's CDs in the FJ.
