Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Thanks groove, for putting this together. The flyers, too.
How will we know where to look for flyers in cars? Windshields? Maybe put instructions on placing the flyer on the flyer itself?
Maybe if we had enough flyers made up to allow placement in both the front AND back windshields, esp. once we're settled at the campsites. If there's any cost involved, I'm sure we can pitch in and cover it.
^^^^ Good question, and good answer...I'll see if I can get the paper today and take pic of my car with flyers in the window. In the event that I can't leave the flyers at the sign-in table I'm trying to score one of those real estate flyer boxes and I'll just leave the flyers outside the entrance.
We could be like Hansel and Gretal and drop flyers from the HIE to the camp and everyone could follow them. Well I guess not good for the environment.....
That is correct. I took a look at it last night and I only have to buy a few small parts. Doing that today. I will take a picture tomorrow evening and post. It should be easy to spot if in the vicinity. Otherwise we can send up some flares every 15 minutes or so. Oh wait, d@mn, no fireworks.

FLARES aren't fireworks, they're more like big sparklers. If you have a flare gun that would be interesting but we would probably set something on fire.

That's OK... Just let everyone know how far the flare gun can shoot, and we'll look for the campsite that exact distance from the fire.
^ You should be getting a call before you arrive from the person on the list before you saying they are there and they will be saving you a spot and then once you get there you call the next person that you have arrived to save them a spot and so on. Its also good to have the list in case you get lost and need someone to call :-)
The above quote was from the GA inforoo thread. Are we doing the same thing with our tree?

i don't think you can save spots in VIP like you can in tent only. it only works in tent only because the spaces are not defined so you save extra space for people by spreading your stuff out just a little bit more than you need to, can't really do that with the clearly marked spots of VIP

So what should we do instead? Give the next person in the list a call when you're at the Holiday Inn and see about 'convoying' over to the entrance together?
True Alisa. Spooky has a good point. We could ue it for the HIE arrival. "Hey were here, going to be here for a few minutes and then the few that have congregated are heading in".
Well, they are well-defined but not well-guarded. It's very open. If we all drove in together it's a no-brainer and even without having done that it probably wouldn't be a big deal to spread out for someone arriving relatively soon.
Personally I think that the tent VIP'ers and RV VIP'ers should strive for the middle (near the catering tent, ideally) so we can be relatively close by.
I'll be looking for flyers and hook up with those at the HIE before the ticket person is there. I am planning on rolling in around 8-9am. That will probably be the largest caravan group. Basically we'll caravan from HIE to VIP, so that we can park close together. Usually if you tell them you're together, there's no problem.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
The whole phone tree concept might not work well in a "call the next person on the list" kind of way because even though we all have a ballpark time we'll get there, circumstances change, and it might be hard to hold a phone chain together...
It certainly makes sense for people to queue up at the HIE and head over together... On a case-by-case basis, though. I can imagine some people will be itching to get over to the site.
The main thing is getting all the Inforooers as close together as possible. Being a Roobie, this might be a shot in the dark, but how hard is it to save space for someone else in VIP? I'm thinking if everyone who arrives in the morning saves a spot for someone who arrives in the afternoon, that might make for a big Inforoo camp... Depending on how easy it is to save that space of course.
Any ideas? Is it already pretty easy to get everyone mostly together in the same general area?
I can't wait to meet all of you guys on here! We will be arriving between 8 and 9 am. We are going to do a dry run on Wed. I am sure we will all get together and have a few cold drinks! I will bring the Trac-Ball ( 6 rackets), a game of Spinner and some serious amounts of Absolute Vodka and white grape juice! ( ie: the Inforoo Hammer)

*****VIP CAMP INFOROO FLYER******
The flyers will have 2 sticky strips on them to attach them to your windows, no need for duct tape.
You can pickup the flyers from me at the HIE Thurs. morning 6-9 After 9, I would like to leave them at the sign-in table if permitted, if they are not at the sign-in table they will be near the entrance to sign-in. So be on the lookout
Last year my cell phone didn't get any signal on the farm, so if the same holds true this year, I may be the kink in the call-tree chain. Our plan is to just drive in and go wherever they lead us, but we'll find you guys eventually.
hmm, ill be into waiting for some folks at the HIE - i dont know what time we will be there - it might change till early morning - it really depends on where we end up the night before.
