Unplug, I see Wagonwheel in your setlist. That's the type of song that can achieve group orgasm if everyone sings and there's a good mix of harmony voicings. Sweet-ass down home harmonies...
I totally agree. My friend and I are avid singers as well, so we know how to lay down some sick two man harmonies, hope you can join us!
"And if I die at the roo, at least I will die Freeeee!!"
My buddy and myself will be jamming out acoustically at our tent in VIP a lot. I'm bringing my old crappy guitar and he's bringing a djembe. I listed about 15 songs in the last page of the campsite jam session thread that we'll be jamming out to plus more and I invited anybody in VIP that happens to hear us singing our hearts out to not hesitate to come over, steal our beer and join in on the sing-a-long!
This sounds like fun. I have no musical talent myself but I would love to be chill with the jam session.
OK! I lied on the last post!!!! SO SORRY! I bought them from an E-Bay auction that said that where VIP! Paid full VIP price and am just a little upset! Trying so hard to get the vibe back by investgating the value of guest voucher. The sweetheart says she must have air condtioned shower and bathroom at most. I think that the camping is comparably sweet, being behind Which stage with direct centeroo and what stage access. Need more info to get back orgasmic level of vibes we had waiting on VIP tickets this morning. Been very low since guest voucher's showed instead!
Contact superfly, tell them a friend gave them to you, and ask what the details are (your friend is busy working as a roadie or some such blah blah blah.)
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this

No musical talent?? Who cares!! I hope to see you at our campsite ecupirate! Don't be a stranger bro! Just come on over. I'll try and find you in the HIE parking lot so we can make arrangements to get our jam on!

Sick harmonies? I can't wait to hear you guys. Hope I didn't give the impression I can sing, though I'll definitely try. I love to participate. Just learned Wagon Wheel today. If you don't capo I might be able to do the high part...

I can sing, as well.......but of course I'd have to be familiar with the songs (which isn't always a given). Either way, it could definitely be fun to hang at some point....
hi. My wife and I have been lurking here for a few weeks
We went for the VIP / hotel / air (no car) package so we cannot join the caravan .
We do plan to set up camp, and use the hotel only for quiet sleepy time (at least thats the plan).
It looks like the first bus from hotel to camp is at 6pm, so its hard to say where we end up...
Thanks everyone for working on this thread and board. Lot's of good info.
I'm an amateur photographer. I'm still trying to figure out what cameras to bring in. Here's my stuff, for the bored and curious www.flickr.com/photos/oldking
I'm so psyched! VIP'ers-- hopefully we're camping near eachother, but my RV will be marked... by Blackbeard's pirate flag! I am sop excited I found my flag from last year, I thought I'd lost it... SO look for the hat-- and the flag!

You're down as being an early arrival(before 9), eh, Roo??

On a semi-related note, I have read that VIPs are subject to lax entry security to get into Centeroo. I am wondering exactly how lax? If I have a 6-pack-size cooler flung over my shoulder, are they still going to wave me through? Or is that blatantly pushing it?

Not sure about being THAT blatant, but I walked in with a backpack of Heinies last year.

I'm curious too. For at least one day I plan to camp by the main stage all day, and basically don't wanna bring too much. So if I walk over with a few cans in a groshery bag (or paper bag) will they look?
hey guys i havent been able to be on here for a little bit, i was wondering what was going on with camp inforoo vip. we wont be able to join the caravan but we will be at the HIE wensday night to party. see you in 2 DAYS

I apologize if there is a better section or thread for this post. This is my 3rd time to the Roo (02 and 06) but I'm finally getting the VIP treatment. The last two journeys involved an 85 Westfalia Vanagon which was wonderful to have. I'm not familar with the setup of the VIP section outside the map.
Question: Is there a section for car/tent campers where I'll be able to pull up my Vanagon and setup with other VIPers or is it mainly just tent only and RV sections? Would I be better off just taking the shuttle in and setting up a tent? Note: I'll be getting there Friday night. Thanks for the help.
VIP is separated into two types of camping just like GA: tent/car camping and RV camping. There's only one Tent Only area that's just outside the arch to Centeroo, behind the VIP camping area. Most people in GA and VIP are doing the Car Camping thing, which doesn't necessarily mean they'll be sleeping in the car, but definitely by it.
Thanks maniac. Do you know how full/packed it gets in the car/tent area since I'll be arriving late Friday night. Will I still be able to get a decent spot? Thanks.

Regarding the super sekrit VIP entrance: I understand that the VIP parking lots are off limits to GA, but the secret entrance just leads to the common access roads, right? If someone from GA tried to get in, would they let them (and then direct them to the GA parking lots) or would they turn them away entirely?

Can someone post the final Camp Inforoo VIP Roll Call in a sep. thread?
Shea had been sending out updates via PM. We probably want to keep contact details off the public boards (to prevent data mining programs from grabbing it up in order to SPAM us).
I can forward contact info if you like. Just PM me.
The final secret entrance (after visiting HIE) will certainly get G.A.'s turned around. The secret way in from the main roads only MIGHT. But, one problem I encountered last year was that many G.A.'s clogged the secret way and it took us a little bit to get through to HIE. (This was about noon on Thursday last year.)
Thanks maniac. Do you know how full/packed it gets in the car/tent area since I'll be arriving late Friday night. Will I still be able to get a decent spot? Thanks.
There was plenty of room all weekend in VIP last year... I don't know if they upped the number of VIP tickets this year or not, but I'm sure you'll be fine.
