Hey guys! First time VIPer here, Me and my buddy are so ecstatic, we were wavering on the decision and then I just said "F*ck it man, lets go for it" He didn't argue and we made the plunge yesterday! Hopefully we can all get to know each other a little better in these coming months, and by the time Bonnaroo rolls around, we can all have a kick ass time together!

2 questions:
Which is closer to Centeroo: VIP or Tent-Only?
What exactly is Camp Inforoo? I mean, do we get our own slice of campgrounds? Or do we just fly the 'roo flag over our individual sites? Just curious....

VIP is closer
camp inforoo is just a bunch of folks from the board getting together and setting up camp near each other, both in tent only and VIP!

I will be there in the tent only section. This my first VIP. I am just hoping that VIP is half the GA has been in the past. We have had great neighbors and a heck of a time walking the streets of Bonnaroo. I am really looking forward to being that close to centeroo and the music. See you there. We will be the guys with the BUD tarp around our setup.

You know that wall at the main stage where all of the port-o-johns are - where a lot of guys just pee on the wall instead of waiting in line? The other side of that wall is VIP - don't worry, the aerial pics I have seen show a big grass buffer between the fence and the campers. You can, but don't have to walk through the arch to get into Centeroo from VIP as there is a VIP only gate that enters the main stage area from VIP - so the walk is super short.

Hello all. Well I am going VIP this year too now so I hope to meet some of you finally. (I may meet a few of you at Langerado in a few weeks too).
We'll have 5 in our group and we are camping. We are buying the VIP for a freind of ours for his birthday and he doesn't know it. He knows we are going but not that we are doing VIP. We've gone GA the last few years. He'll find out when we have to stop for our bracelets.
I'm not sure if this has been answered about VIP, but I'm really curious about it.
Is it a free-for all when setting up your tent camp? Like can you move around and kind of pick your own spot and set up camp, so that we could set up with the inforoo'ers tents nearby each other? Or do you have to caravan in to end up next to any pals, like in GA?
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
Hi all! I just got my VIP tix today. Second time at Roo, first time VIP. I'm actually one of the five going with Paranoidbot - he's my brother. But I'm so excited I thought I deserve my own post announcing it. Looking forward to meeting you all.

I am a VIP newbie, but I think the idea behind putting this group together is once 'roo gets close we will exchange phone numbers and such so we can either a) start a carvan at the location where we pick up our bracelets and/or b) stake a claim to a large space and allow other inforooers to come over and set up with the group. At least this is how I hope it happens. We could take some tips from the tent-only inforoo group veterans on this
The only dilema with you guys are the people doing the RV's, besides that, you do a buddy system. Basically, you need to work out when you guys(and gals) are arriving and then just have someone save you a spot. This worked out great last year. Since the VIP area is more confined, it shouldn't be extremly hard to find each other.
We are currently working on a flag for the Tent only Camp Inforoo, but what we could do is purchase a couple, one for the tent only and one for the VIP. Who is taking charge of the VIP area just wondering?I thought it was Stillwell, but I haven't seen her lately.
Thought we'd chime in here. My wife and I will be attending our first roo, and will be in the VIP area. We'd love to meet you nice people.
Driving down from Ohio for two reasons Tool, and Sasha and Digweed! Anything else is a bonus, seeing those to in open space in the summer with 100,000 is worth the price of admission alone.
Thank you to the posters of this site and the admins here. So much useful info, our brains hurt!

I have some newbie questions regarding vip logistics, please chime in if you have input:
1. Where does the airport shuttle drop off in relation to the VIP area? Im worried the shuttle bus might be more oriented for GA folks and lead to a long hike. Does anyone have a link to a detailed map of the festival that shows the VIP area and the shuttle drop off spot?
2. If I want to shop in Nashville for stuff (Im flying in) like groceries, will the WalMart be totally empty by the time I get there? Also, where can I buy dry ice near the airport?
3. Whats the deal with food in the VIP hospitality tent. Is it really free? Is there enough to get by 3 meals a day and not pack in or purchase other food? Does it run out? You get the idea.
4. Can you buy ice in Centeroo and how much does it cost? ie is there a way to get ice without driving out of Bonnaroo after you arrive?
5. Is there an advantage to getting to VIP early for tent-only or car-tent folk? Are there better spots or is everything pretty much the same?
6. So the festival will have approximately 80,000 folks, how many of those will be in VIP?
7. When the tickets come in the mail will they come with a big info packet that will answer all these questions?
I am psyched for Bonnaroo 07, thanks in advance for any knowledge you can share on my questions.
I think I read that the shuttle drops you off in the tent-only section just outside Centeroo. From there, it's a short walk to VIP.
In the Map above, VIP is the orange area, while the tent only is just above it in the darker green. I believe you walk through the Centeroo gates and enter VIP from the Main stage area, which would be to your left from your main gate. If I'm wrong, anyone is free to correct me.

Last year on Friday morning the wife and I got up and prepared our usual tailgate breakfast- eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, etc. About noon we headed off to Centeroo but stopped off by the VIP tent to check it out. Holy Spite! What a spread! I was really sorry I'd made a huge breakfast. Went back around 4 and food still flowed! Even had it later that night! Long story short we took food we brought home. This year we'll cut waaay back- bringing mainly snack stuff- and probably won't pack a lot of cooking gear. And the food assortment was excellent- nice mix of herbivore and carnivore. Unless you're a picky eater, and assuming the spread is the same as last year, it is very fine. Tim

Alisa is the only one who has addressed ice so far (unless I went blind and missed it). There are ice vendors in general admission the same as there are food vendors and so forth. Sometimes you have to walk a little distance to buy it, but it is easily found. This is the first I have heard of golf cart delivery of ice in VIP; that is cool as hell!

Hello Everyone. Thanks so MUCH for all of the information in the VIP Threads! You have convinced me no doubt that going VIP is the way to go. Good thing I read this and got all gung ho last night, because i just went back on the site, and it appears as if VIP is SOLD OUT!!! Or else it is a momentary glitch in the system.
At first i didnt get an RV pass, so i went back on to see if i could get one alone, and i noticed that VIP packages are not available at the moment.
In any event, as an FYI I reached out to bonnarootix@musictoday.com and received a response that bonnaroo would be contacting VIP ticket holders about purchasing standalone rv passes soon! Just thought you guys would like to know.
Driving down from Brooklyn and can hardly contain my excitement!!! Hello everyone. My name is Gabe!
I thought I would join in the thread and get to know some of my fellow attendees. There's five of us coming together for our second year, but the first being in the VIP area. Were coming from Seattle, two spots in Colorado, and Florida. We've been attending festivals together for four years, and Bonnaroo was a no brainer to return. We've had two weddings of group members , and it hasn't happened yet, but by the time we all get there another member wife will have their second child . . . hence were going to have a lot to celebrate.
I thought I would chime in a couple of things that I read above. I remember that thought ice wasn't flowing everywhere, that it was definitely available if it was looked for hard enough. When you get your tickets, there is a information packet in it, but it doesn't have much more than the offical bonnaroo website, but these threads are amazingly helpful! I've been able to find a lot of great information that I wouldn't have otherwises.
I had a quick question to ask people that have gone VIP previously or others that might be able to help. Since there are only 5 of us, we have an extra ticket since we had to buy in pairs. Any suggestions on how find someone that wants the extra ticket (and parking pass that we don't need since were showing up in one car and an RV)? My gut is someone out there has had to deal with this, or theres a group out there that needs one more ticket . . .
I look forward to hopefully meeting some of you, as one of the best parts of 'roo is meeting fellow 'rooers.
